Description

Director Adam Bainbridge has one job to do—get the film finished. Something that would be much easier if he weren’t in love with the leading lady. Taught to always hide his feelings, he denies the passion and love he feels for his ex-wife. Seeing her every day in the arms of another man is too much for his Dom side to bear. He’s always wanted her back in his life, in his bed, and under his command. Too bad she has other ideas that don’t include him.

Looking to take her acting career to the next level, Nicki Masters accepts the role of a lifetime. She doesn’t count on her ex-husband being the film’s director. She’d loved him enough to wait for him once despite the pain they experienced together, and he never returned. Now that she’s tried to move on, the sexy Dom wants a second chance. Loving him again would be the biggest challenge of her life. She just doesn’t believe she can teach an old Dom new tricks.

Adam, Doms of the Silver Screen Book 2, Marie Tuhart

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: erotica, Romance

I struggled with book one in this series as it was just so short, but having enjoyed other books by Marie I wanted to give this series another go. Hollywood - one of my trigger tropes so I really wanted to like this series.
Sadly though this one is longer, just over 150 pages compared to 65 for book one, I still didn't really enjoy it. It was the characters that didn't work for me more than the story. Adam made me so so cross, and Nicki, well - I wanted to say Stand up for yourself woman!

Adam as a Dom was a complete failure IMO. I only know BDSM from books, but everything I've ever read suggests Doms consider their Subs needs first, and are always very composed, restrained, in control.
Adam isn't, he's angry, hot headed, jealous even though he has no cause, and to me he doesn't deserve to be a Dom. Having someone's trust means earning it and treating it as something precious, but he just steamrollers over Nicki's feelings, ignores her wishes to get the result he wants. Bad Dom!!
And yet Nicki is so busy blaming herself for everything that when wrong. I wanted to shout at her, Stand up for yourself, he's in the wrong, not you. They seem trapped in a vicious circle.
They reel from crisis to crisis, getting together for some hot and heavy scenes off-screen, and then something - usually Adam's jealousy, crops up and its all off. I could see where the yoyo-ing was exhausting and why Nicky had enough.

When they do finally try to get to the bottom of their issues, to work things out I wasn't convinced that what they did was the answer, they had much deeper issues, and needed to do so much more IMO before they stood a chance as a happy couple. Sometimes Love just isn't enough, its needs some outside help and intervention.

A series that sounded perfect for me, but which has turned out to be one I'm better off without. As always though this will be perfect for other readers, even though its not one for me.
I do like Marie's style, and have enjoyed other books she's written, so though I'll stay away from more of these I'll happily look at others she has.

Stars: 2.5, there were bits I enjoyed but overall it was a miss for me.

This was a good read for me. The story is fast-paced with plenty of drama and emotion. Adam and Nicki have a second chance at romance but can they learn to deal with the pain in their past and move forward together. Good characters and an entertaining story. Looking forward to more in the series.

A great story . Torn apart by loss and reunited by love. Awesome read!

Interesting second chance at love romance.
Marie Tuhart has another compelling couple with Adam and Nicki. While a Hollywood couple they were dealing with issues that could affect the average reader in fan Immanuel ways. I didn't think BDSM
and power exchange played a big role in this book.
Well worth reading. I hope there will be more books in this series.
I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

I had mixed feelings about this story, on one hand I really liked the premise of the story, it’s interesting to read about movie stars outside of the glamour and infidelity with a story that can be something that can affect anyone. The problem I found was the story seemed to drag a bit and it seemed to cover the same ground repeatedly.

This story was good, I loved the writing. The author was clear in what she was trying to say.
Adam was a very lovable character but Nicki got on my nerves, flipping and flopping with what she should do or not do

Adam is the second book in the Dom’s of the Silver Screen series by Marie Tuhart. This book while longer than the first book is still seems like it is missing elements from the story line to make this a phenomenal book. This book is an emotional story about a marriage that is falling the apart despite the couples best efforts to save it. Adam is still very much in love with his wife Nicki. Can this marriage be saved when Adam has failed her in the past? Pick up your copy, judge the book for yourself, and see if Adam and Nicki get a second chance at happily ever afte

Adam is the director of a film where is ex is the leading lady. To say it is hard to work when they loathe each other is putting it mildly. He has a misplaced jealousy and temper that just doesn't fit with someone who hates his ex. Obviously, the hate/love line is very close!

I was all geared up for this to be a second chance at love story-I love those, but here.... I didn't want Adam to get a second chance. I was glad Nicki had got away before. It was all Adam's doing and I don't think he learned anything being away from her. He was supposed to be her Dom who cares for his sub above all else. He did not do that. I don't know if you could really call him a Dom in the first place. He has massive jealousy and temperament issues! There was no talking, no getting to the truth about things. He just demanded and assumed to his heart's content, never asking what really happened. Definitely not a Dom that I would want in my life!

I did like Nicki, although I would have liked her to stand up to Adam more. I get that she still loved him, but it was such a huge detriment to her well-being. I did not like Adam and I felt he was just toxic to Nicki. She should not have given him a second chance. Adam didn't deserve her plain and simple.
