Three Colonels

Love reigns supreme for our three brave colonels at the start of this epic tale. Colonels Buford, Fitzwilliam, and Brandon are enjoying their courtships and their early married lives with three beloved Jane Austen heroines—until Napoleon escapes from exile. While the military men set out to meet their destiny on the fields of Waterloo, Anne, Carolina, and Marriane defend their hearts against the fear of losing their loved ones. Caroline Bingley marries the notorious war hero, Colonel Sir John Buford, and the two live in Austria, where Buford serves as an aide to the Duke of Wellington at the Congress of Vienna. There, in the midst of scandal and intrigue, Caroline and Buford fall in love. Back in England, Colonel Richard Fitzwilliam takes Mr. Darcy’s place as advisor to Lady Catherine de Bourgh. He and Anne de Bourgh realize they have long loved each other, but the match is opposed by Lady Catherine. All is disrupted by Napoleon’s escape from exile. Buford sends Caroline back to England, while Fitzwilliam, Captain George Wickham, and Major Archibald Denny are sent to Belgium, as well as the recalled-to-service Colonel Christopher Brandon. Meanwhile, Caroline is pregnant, Anne discovers her secret destiny, and Marianne Brandon learns what it means to be mistress of a great estate. At balls held concurrently on the eve of the battle, secrets are revealed and scores are settled. Finally, the three colonels meet their destiny on the fields of Waterloo.
