There is an awful lot of hype and misunderstanding about stem cells and what they can do. Christiano's book does an outstanding job of explaining this confusing subject.

He begins by explaining what stem cells are, the different types and why they hold so much promise. He then goes on to explain two of the more common (and simplest) stem cell treatments using materials from the patient's own body. Because he has had both these treatments he can speak from both the patient's point of view and that of the health professional.

A second section of the book talks at length about another type of treatment, stem cell activators. I hadn't heard of these before and they sound really interesting.

The third, and final, section of the book talks about lifestyle changes. This was the most disappointing section by far, largely because it didn't really impart knowledge but felt like a long commercial for his products. Although disappointing, it did not spoil this valuable book.
