I received this free from NetGalley and the publisher for an honest review.
What a fascinating story. At first it was hard to connect to the main character, but after a while you see things from his viewpoint and his motivation. The story itself is very intriguing. How to start anew on a strange planet. The power struggle, the struggle to grow food, first contact, it all makes for a compelling read. Then there are the twists that keep you guessing about what will happen next. Looking forward to the next in the series.
I received a copy of this book from Net Gallery. This has in no way influenced my review.
I couldn't put this book down. It drew me in from the beginning. I can't wait for the rest of the series to come out. It wasn't over the top, unrealistic kind of sci-fi that seems to far fetched. The plot elicited my curiosity which in turn drew me in to the story further, keeping me reading to find out the story of why. The Author keeps the reader glued to the book. The struggle to grow food, first contact, it all makes for a compelling read. Then there are the twists that keep you reading to find out what will happen next. I don't want to reveal to much to spoil your reading of the book. Looking forward to the next in the series. Highly recommend this to anyone who loves science fiction books, or a real page turner.
