If you baked a cake from scratch, you'd find a recipe and follow directions. I didn't do that. I reached blindfolded into my mental pantry, saw and wrote, interviewed and memorialized, had an idea and, you know. It's about funny kids and brave veterans, bad situations and redemption, on the right track and off the rails, some fiction but mostly truth. It's my cake; have a slice.

Les is a failed standup-comic and not much better at poker so he's worked in manufacturing, inspection, toiled in Quality Management and ran his own collection agency (Boo! Hiss!). Seven years at the big-box store with orange shelves taught him how to give good customer service and now practices that as a Meals on Wheels driver. He has business degrees from Northeastern University but it only took 17 years at night. Les has a wife. They have kids who made more kids and even a great grandkid. Thankfully, they are all done. Finally, Les is an Air Force veteran, loves cats, goes on YELP, votes as an independent and is a volunteer in his local library. He makes his home in Ashland, MA.
