Description

November 1943. A German Heinkel bomber limps over the Irish coastline.

The pilot struggles to control the badly damaged plane. A terrified Karl Muller looks back at the wooden box emblazoned with a swastika strapped down in the rear and wonders, was it worth it?

John Morgan has just lost his fiancée in a tragic accident. Unable to cope he leaves their Dublin house to stay in County Wexford, hoping to re-build his life. In this idyllic seaside setting he finds not only the peace he is desperately seeking, but also new friends in the Mullers, the larger than life family who own the local hotel.

One weekend their lives get turned upside down as Muller’s past finally catches up with him in the most violent way possible. With the lives of Karl Muller’s granddaughter and great grandson at risk from modern day neo-Nazis they call on the only person they trust to save them. But is Morgan already sixty years too late?

A wonderfully crafted novel. Every time you just think you have the whole thing figured out, you turn the page and, Voila! Another twist or turn has the plot going in a totally different direction. Set aside plenty of time to read, as you will not want to quit once you have begun.

A GREAT DEBUT. I'm looking forward to more in this series featuring John Morgan.
