Another great Buzz Book installment! I love the monthly installments because it helps me focus on books soon to be released for feature on my blog. I am most excited about Rosie Colored Glasses and Your One & Only in this collection.
One of my favorite days of the month is when the new Buzz Books pops up in my feed.
As always, Buzz Book Monthly is a great reference to preview upcoming titles. February includes three excerpts plus a bonus. In addition to the excerpts, I was also excited to see two Mario Vargas Llosa books in the summary lists for this month.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy for review.
The best resource for upcoming book releases, excerpts, links to request, and more!
always helpful in selecting and requesting upcoming book titles.
Thank you for allowing me to access this
The excerpt of Your One & Only has made me so excited to read the book. I can't wait to get started because I'm falling in love with the story already.
I wasn't too excited about the other excerpts, since I haven't heard much about them before, but they definitely intrigued me. I just might give them a chance if I have more time in February.
Cheers to another great edition of Buzz Books Monthly
I look forward to reading these Buzz Book editions each time they arrive. They are full of great excerpts and release date information and book details that they are a must read for me! Bravo!
I didn't find anything from these samples that fits my taste but I do enjoy that they are available for everyone!
More excited than ever for February releases thanks to the Buzz Books Monthly excerpts. Every month I anticipate this cute little pdf's release.
As always, a great resource for upcoming book releases; this one is for February 2018. This Buzz Books Monthly seems shorter than usual with only three excerpts, but all three books sound good. There is a fourth bonus excerpt from a collection of short stories as well.
A fantastic way to see what books I might request for review! Thanks so much for providing this resource,
I love Buzz Books Monthly, and the February 2018 is no exception. I love getting a sense of what books are going to be released next month, including two excerpts that sound particularly fascinating: Brianna Wolfson's Rosie Colored Glasses and a bonus excerpt of Michael Andreasen's The Sea Beast Takes a Lover: Stories. Also featured is Bryan Mealer's nonfiction The Kings of Big Spring: God, Oil, and One Family's Search for the American Dream as well as Adrianne Finlay's YA Sci-Fi Dystopian Your One & Only.
Though I say it every time, it bears repeating: Buzz Books Monthly is something I look forward to every month. It is so useful in so many ways, starting with helping me prioritize the galleys I already have, and bringing other books to my attention that I somehow missed.
This is a great resource of what is being released in February. I wish it had short synopses after each title rather than just a list. The excerpts are a nice offering as well.
**I enjoy reading these 'Buzz Books' titles very much. It helps me get a feel for the next month's new releases, purchase or request any books I am interested in but do not already have, and create my TBR list for that month. Very useful tool for readers and reviewers.
Only four books in this monthly addition but still an awesome way for readers to be exposed to books they normally wouldn't read. I'm so excited to read Rosie Colored Glasses.
A fantastic way to decide which books to request. Helps find authors you like or authors to try!
Great resource with some interesting titles in it this month - thanks!
As always, I love looking through these catalogs each month and getting a taste of all the wonderful books that are to come.
Great sample of books! Always a good way to discover what is new.
This is a great collection of excerpts of upcoming books for the month of February 2018.
It contains an introduction followed by a section with a list of "Literary Favorites and Emerging Talents", debut fiction, commercial fiction, and nonfiction titles. Then it has a section of "Week by Week" title releases and at the end some book excerpts that were originally published in Buzz Books 2017: Fall/Winter and Buzz Books 2017: Young Adult Fall/Winter. I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for ROSIE COLORED GLASSES by Brianna Wolfson.
Overall, a great list of buzzing titles for the month of February 2018.
Such a great resource for readers - thanks for making this available for us!
Time for a new BuzzBooks Monthly! The shortest month has a long list of new books coming out. 7 books are listed under "Extra Attention" as well as lists for literary favorites and emerging talents, debut fiction, commercial fiction and non-fiction. Titles are also arranged in week by week release lists. Also included are 3 excerpts originally published in earlier BuzzBooks: The Kings of Big Spring by Bryan Mealer, Rosie Colored Glasses by Brianna Wolfson and Your One & Only by Adrianne Finlay. There is also a bonus excerpt of The Sea Beast Takes a Lover: Stories by Michael Andreasen. As usual, this guide is a must for avid readers of all types.
Yet another excellent Buzz Books to get me excited for all the new releases. As always, some books I was interested in and others I wasn’t, but I was impressed with the range in genres and the fact there is something for everyone in this sampler collection.
Love seeing Buzz Books Monthly. I wasn't particularly drawn to any of the titles in this month's, but I do love seeing what's upcoming and new for the month!
Once again some great new books to delve into. I love how I can read an excerpt and gauge whether any of these books will appeal to me for review. Thanks Netgalley.
Always find this compilation useful of upcoming releases and anticipated debut novelists.
Buzz Books is a great way to find debut authors or sample something outside of your usual reading zone.
A nice preview of four books that gives you a taste of authors you may not have read before in genres you might not consider. I liked looking ahead to see what books were coming out in the upcoming months and the organization of those books by release date, genre, new authors etc.
There is one book I will read for sure come publication (Adrianne Finlay - 'Your One and Only') which I doubt I would have picked up had I not read the piece included in this review. I look forward to checking out other monthly reviews as I see them posted!
I love being exposed to new books to fall in love with!
Thank you to NetGalley.
It is great to read this book and see this kind of information.
I look forward to Buzz Books Monthly. Each edition is a great introduction to upcoming fiction and nonfiction. The excerpts help me plan my reading and review calendar. Thank you.
I really enjoy every issue of the Buzz Books. I find very interesting new books in them and great recommendations of books that are soon to be released.
Thanks again to the folks at Book Buzz. This is such a good way to know what to read next!
I always took so forward to this book (seasonally or monthly). It's great to read and anticipate what will fill my anytime/everyday reading. These are informative for not only the content of more known authors, but emerging ones as well. I have read several gems that I might otherwise have never known of, had it not been for the Buzz book previews. Thank you so much!
So many great books, not enough time to read all the ones I want to! Always look forward to browsing the buzz book lists.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for sending me a digital arc of these books. I am most excited about Adrianne Finlay's book "Your One & Only". I actually have already purchased a copy and have it sitting in front of me. First off the cover is beautiful. The colors are a bit darker than it shows online and I love it. The story itself is fascinating. The setting, plot, and characters are all very well written. Those who enjoy post apocalyptic, dystopian, science fiction, and romance will find a new favorite. It really is one of those books that falls well into so many categories.
Last month I stumbled across Buzz Books a literary showcase of the best upcoming books the publishing world has to offer. I was pleased to discover that in addition to their semi-annual readers’ guides Publisher’s Lunch also compiles the hottest books coming out each month. With four excerpts previously featured in Publisher’s Lunch 2017 Fall/Winter edition readers are treated to samples of the following works:
• The Kings of Big Spring: God, Oil, and One Family’s Search for the American Dream, a multi-generational memoir from Bryan Mealer one of the authors of best-selling book The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.
• Rosie-Colored Glasses, a moving semi-autobiographical debut by Brianna Wolfson
• Your One and Only, a dystopian romance from Adrianne Finlay
• The Sea Beast Takes a Lover, a short story collection by Michael Andreason
Other highly anticipated works include:
From the consummate essayist Ms. Zadie Smith Feel Free: Essays
An American Marriage by Tayari Jones about the impact a husband’s wrongful conviction
White Houses by Amy Bloom, the story of Eleanor Roosevelt’s long time love affair with female reporter
Down the River Unto the Sea: Detective Heal Thyself by Walter Mosley, a police procedural introducing NYPD detective Joe King Oliver
And Promising debuts by
Akwaeke Emezi - Freshwater, is a narrative steeped in Igbo mythology about a woman who suffers multiple personality disorder after a traumatic event
Danielle Lazarin – Back Talk, a short story collection praised by Celeste Ng as being “deceptively quiet but packs a powerful punch”
This is a good way to see which books are coming out in the month. Getting a sample of a new for you authors to see if you want to try their work and s much more info.
I love Buzz Books! Thanks for reminding me that February is finally the month for the publication of The Kings of Big Springs. I've been waiting since 2017, so it's great to get a notice that now is the time and the wait is over. Thank you!
