Disguised for Death by Sylvia Nickels is an intriguing mystery that I found to be well told and well written.
Royce Thorne had a good marriage, at least she thought she did. when her husband, a police officer, is killed in the line of duty, Royce's life is turned upside down.

Royce soon finds out her life has been a lie- her marriage was not as good as she thought and her husband was not the man she thought he was. Lies and betrayal is what if left behind after her husband's death, as well as a bank account with specific instructions for Royce.
When Royce begins to put the pieces together, she becomes tangled in a web of deceit, greed and lies that puts her in danger as well as the lives of those she has come to care about.

This story was gripping and I could not put it down. The author told a tale of infidelity, lies, pain and heartbreak, all while telling a story of love, marriage and sorrow.
I am looking forward to reading more in the Royce Thorne series.
I voluntarily read an ARC of this book provided by the publisher and NetGalley.

Disguise for Death by Sylvia Nickels is the 1st book in the Royce Thorne series, and my first book by this author. When Royce's policeman husband is killed on duty, she finds out that he is the father of the boy next door. Royce also finds out that Eddy, her husband, left his a large sum of money. This book is filled with twists and turns, that keeps the reader going until the very end. The characters and plot are well developed, and I look forward to the next book in the series. I recommend this book for all the mystery lovers out there.

I was given a copy of this book for a fair and honest review.
