Description
The citizens of Ooolandia have been brainwashed by the promise of MORE. MORE ease, MORE leisure, MORE stuff⎯and who doesn't want MORE? Everyone does…except Banshooo, the ultra-smart monkey whose whole life has revolved around observing and documenting MORE’s toll on the environment.
When the blue moon goes out, Banshooo raises the alarm. But then the government proposes replacing the natural moon with a new and improved synthetic version, and Banshooo's concerns are tossed aside. When the bees disappear and a food shortage crisis looms, the solution is electronic (non-stinging) bees to pollinate. A few citizens listen when the annual Dipper Dance Festival is cancelled because there is only one living firefly left and one living firefly just does not a party make. But what's one lost festival when you never have to cut your grass again? It's a sacrifice most are willing to make.
Then the natural world begins to fight back.
Earthquakes and violent storms shake the land, and no one understands why … except for Banshooo.
Now Banshooo must come to understand the Balance of All Things-- the Seen and the Unseen-- and prove that it's possible to live in harmony with the world. Before it’s too late.
