Description
It was the perfect love story...until he disappeared.
Imagine you meet a man, spend seven glorious days together, and fall in love. And it's mutual: you've never been so certain of anything in your life. So when he leaves for a long-booked holiday and promises to call from the airport, you have no cause to doubt him.
But he doesn't call. And he doesn't call. And he doesn't call.
Your friends tell you to forget him, but you know they're wrong—something must have happened—there's got to be a reason for his silence.
What do you do when you finally discover you're right? That there is a reason—and that reason is the one thing you didn't share with each other? The truth.
If you've ever found yourself waiting for a call that didn't come, Ghosted by Rosie Walsh is the book for you.

the book starts off with main character having a wonderful time with a new man. Then she goes back to her
life and he vanishes off the face of the earth no phone calls no texts nothing. Her friends say that he
has "ghosted" her but she just doesn't see how he could do that when their connection was so strong.
So she takes matters into her own hands. Was this Eddie character really the man she thought he was
or was he just playing with her heart? I really enjoyed this book because it was written through her
eyes and you could really see her confusion at what was happening. I liked how she got defensive and didn't
roll over and assume he was doing something wrong when her friends suggested that might be a reason. It
gave a lot of credibility to the character and made her more relatable. Overall good book. The main
characters were very relatable and I found that story very cool because it's not something you hear about
all the time in novels. Nice upbeat story line and very easy to follow. This is a book that really makes
you think about your life and how you react to relationships well done. I liked how the characters were
written even the character Eddie. I did think he was a terrible person considering how he reacted to some
things, there were many other ways to do what he did, however as the story progressed he started to grow on me. Great book I did not want to put it down. The best part about this book had to be the characters for sure!
I loved them. This book is not to be missed.
This book was just a roller coaster of emotion the whole time! I really felt all of Sarah’s emotions, from the joy at having found an amazing person, to the fear, shame, and defeat throughout the entire book. I found myself laughing, crying, gasping – the whole nine yards. The narrative is written well, and the characters are all likeable. The switch between past and present is done at the perfect timing, and was written with the perfect amount of details to make sure the reader stays focused and immersed in Ghosted.
The ending really got me though – I never thought in a million years that what happened, did. But then, my psycho inner English major told myself that the signs were straight from the beginning, so I really shouldn’t have been surprised! So pay attention when you read…or just go along with the story and get lost in it. Either way, it’s fabulously written and easy to get hooked to the plot!
I did get lost with Eddie a bit – his devotion to his mom wasn’t explained as well as I thought it could be, and some parts were just slightly unbelievable (like, a turn of events that happens in this book is just way too crazy and just unrealistic. A more of a “what are the chances” kind of thing). But these are easy to overlook for me, because I just enjoyed this book that much.
I think anyone who is looking for a mystery-romance type of fusion novel will immediately be drawn to Ghosted.
I absolutly loved it!!! Read it!!! It’s addictive, you eill love the characters, the mystery around it... if you were a fan of « the girl on the train » you will like ghosted. The writing is also beatiful, very well writen
4.5 romantic stars A great big thank you to publisher and Rosie Walsh for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of Ghosted, which comes out in July 2018. I'm still drying my eyes from all of the tears and sobbing!! When I first saw the description, I thought the book would be a psychological thriller but it's not...it's full on psychological romance - if such a genre exists!!
The story introduces Sarah Mackey and Eddie David. They meet accidentally one day while Sarah is on a holiday visiting friends and family in the UK. She has recently split up with her husband of 2 decades. David and Sarah find a deep and instant connection with one another. They fall in love after spending only one intimate and liberating week together holed up in Eddie's cabin. Eddie is leaving on a week's holiday to Spain and Sarah is due back to her life in California. The two vow to reconnect as soon as Eddie's back to discuss their future as a couple moving forward. The passionate goodbye however is the last that Sarah hears from Eddie. He does not call her or answer her desperate pleas to talk. What has happened to Eddie? Did he ghost her or did something more sinister happen?
I have to start by saying that Ms. Walsh has a gift for developing romance and the multitude of layers that go with it. I felt the passion and hope as well as the disappointment and uncertainty. I was right there rooting for poor Sarah and her predicament. We get to know the main characters quite deeply. The story is told primarily from Sarah's perspective but there are also chapters told from Eddie's perspective. This enhances character development and plays well in the plot development.
The story also includes a wonderful mystery element that is well done. I thought I knew where it was going but was wrong. Great twists and did I mention super emotional??? If you're looking for a good cry, Ghosted is the perfect choice. Heartwrenching and compelling sum it up. I stayed up way too late last night because I couldn't put it down.
The only thing I will note is that the beginning is a little slow but hang in there because the ending makes up for it.
It took me two attempts to get into this book. At 20% I almost gave up the second time, but after having read the other reviewers raving about this book, I had to push through.
And I am glad that I did. This book was nothing like I expected.
From the start, I thought it would be a silly little book about a guy that 'Ghosted' a girl he just met, after having spent a wonderful week together. She was of course worried when he never contacted her again. As the story progresses and you find out why he never contacted her, it really picks up.
If you were in his situation, what would you do?
Many thanks to Netgalley for providing my with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I finished this book yesterday and I have to say it was a really enjoyable read. I loved how from the beginning you could tell Sarah was keeping a devastating secret and it really affected her relationships and who she felt she was as a person. Once she meets Eddie it's an instant connection and usually I don't like those types of stories but this one was incredibly believable! They meet, they talk, they flirt and fall in love in a week. I absolutely loved them from the snippets we get throughout most of the book (through Sarah's retelling) So, needless to say I was a little mad at Eddie that he was totally and completely brushing her off when you know he fell in love with her to. It was definitly a great way to keep me invested in the story.
As the story unfolded, I had my own ideas and thoughts of what happened to Sarah and why Eddie was complelety ghosting her. And what I suspected was going to happen, kind of did happen but it was also COMPLETELY different from what I thought as well. so I was definitly caught by surprise. My heart broke for both Sarah and Eddie towards the end and getting those chapters from his POV realllyyyyy made me love him so much more. What a sweet sweet SWEET devoted man! And his love for Sarah was just so SPECIAL! I FLEW through those last chapters of the book because I really needed a happy ending! especially with the way things happen at the end for Sarah! I was in tears and crushed for a little bit there thinking the WORST happened and just praying it didnt!
Without trying to spoil anything I may
have cried like a little baby at the end. Maybe it's my mom hormones, but that ending just gripped my heart and left me with the biggest smile and so much love for Sarah and Eddie!! Over all a great read, and other then some parts at the beginning which I felt a little slow (but maybe that was just me and my impatience because I needed to know what was happening!!!) I absolutely loved it! I definitly recommend!
Thank you to Pan Macmillan and NetGalley for an e-ARC of Ghosted by Rosie Walsh in exchange for an honest review. What a story! Mysteries and thrillers are normally my favorite genres. However, this love story completely captivated me. This is not a formulaic romance. It is about Sarah who unexpectedly meets Eddie. They spend seven days together in the British countryside and promise each other to reconnect after Eddie's pre-arranged holiday. The rest you must read for yourself. It is an emotional roller-coaster: you will never know what comes next. The book is unpredictable and mysterious. The only problem is that the book is not long enough. I would have gladly spent more time with Sarah and Eddie. It is hoped that more is to come from Rosie Walsh.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.
Great summer read! I really liked the way this story played out. That being said, there were a few issues with this book as well. I found the author sometimes wandered off on the descriptiveness of the scenery, I could have done without that. Also, in seven days she fell head over heels in love? Really? I wish their time together had been a little longer or better dialogued, but over all, who knows when you meet the one maybe it only takes a few days. My father told my mother the first night he danced with her that he was going to marry her and they were together until death did them part. There were some shocking moments which turned what I thought about the book upside down. I liked the way it ended, it gave me the warm fuzzy feelings that I want to have when reading a love story.
Will definitely check out more books by this author.
"Seven perfect days together. Then he disappeared. A love story with a secret at its heart."
When Sarah meets Eddie they instantly connect and fall in love. They spend seven perfect days together until Eddie leaves on a vacation, booked prior to their meeting, and promises to call from the airport.
He doesn't call.
Weeks go by without a word and Sarah becomes increasingly worried. Something must have happened to him, there has to be an explanation, the pure passion they experienced couldn't be abandoned.
Then she discovers the reason behind Eddie's disappearance.
Ghosted is a quick rollercoaster ride of emotions with a few surprising twists.
Part Mystery, Part Romance, A Mesmerizing Page Turner.
A Wonderful Story!
