Description
A demon attack…
Reeling from a personal tragedy and abandoned by all she loves, the world's newest demon huntress, Gin Crawford, sinks into a deep despair.
She’s forced back to reality by news of a large number of people committing suicide, all on the same night. Suspecting demon involvement, Gin must work with her sexy but estranged mentor Aidan Smythe to track who, or what, is behind the deaths.
Leads to a new discovery…
As they come closer to finding the culprit, they realize their employer, the Agency, is hiding its own secret, one which threatens Gin's very existence. New discoveries reveal that even those dedicated to eradicating evil can be bought. Can Gin and Smythe forgive each other and work together or will they fall under the demon's thrall?

Terrific plot with a fabulous heroine. Strong, smart and funny. This was my first read of the series and I missed out on a few things but not enough to deter from enjoying this story. Nail biting action, suspenseful mystery, romance and humor make for a great read. Oh, and that sexy devil! Worth the read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC thanks to NetGalley.
Good plot ... nice take on a popular topic. Characters are well defined and the World building is well done.
I look forward to other books!
I was offered the opportunity to read this as an Advanced reader copy and now I am writing my honest review.

Bad news I’ve only read the latest in the series. Good news I get to read more ;) other than Amazon’s failure to series link, I enjoyed this book. I like the whole big picture small picture thing and the characters are great. Not just one or two of them but all of them are well written and come to life in their own way. Can’t wait for the next one but I suppose now I should go and read from book one- if I can find it.
This is my first book by Karilyn Bentley but it won't be my last. Strong, feisty woman, brooding love interest, twists and turns in the plot good world building - what's not to like? Now I need to start at book one and follow through.
Thank you to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is the fourth book in the series, I discovered it once I started the reading, but it wasn’t a problem. I haven’t read the previous books but I understand the story and the relationships easily. Yes, if you read all the books you have a more in deep visions of all, but it wasn’t a hindrance in this case.
When I started the book I thought about reading this one and then go and hunt for the previous, but now that I have ended the reading I don’t think I would do it.
It wasn’t bad, and if you have a couple of hours to pass and want something not demanding, fluid, with some demons in it, well, I guess you can give this one a go.
But it’s lacking. To me, the characters are all quite plain, bidimensional. All of them. Sure, I have appreciated, and appreciated a lot, the siblings’ relationship. Gin and T are twins and they are really close to each other. I liked their relationship a lot. But that’s the only thing that I really liked.
I wanted more about the other characters, about Zagan, about Smythe, and Will and the others. Obviously, if you read all the books you would probably have a more detailed knowledge of them all, but they are lacking something, they don’t have that real feeling, that transforms characters from simply figure on the paper to real persons for you.
So yes, it’s a fast reading and it’s not boring. The idea behind it it’s not bad, either, but it’s a reading completely forgettable, sadly.

This was a pretty quick read. I didn’t realize it was part of a series, but it didn’t affect my view. I enjoyed getting to know Gin as I followed her on this mystery. I recommend.
