Description

Descended from an ancient race, Earth’s few remaining Lightkeepers battle the forces of darkness that threaten humanity...

Detectives Micki Dare and Zach Harris are called in to investigate when a millionaire developer leaps from atop his luxury hotel on the night of its grand opening.

After Micki receives a mysterious package from her long-dead mentor, and Zach suspects something supernatural working against them, they realize this is no ordinary case. A dark force is once again threatening the Big Easy.

Aspects of this case prove eerily similar to an unsolved murder from years before, making the stakes dangerously personal for Micki. This time it’s her life on the line.

It will take the ingenuity and special skills of their misfit band of light beings and humans to bring this perpetrator down...but can they do it before they lose one of their own?

About Erica:
A New York Times and International bestselling author, Erica Spindler's skill for crafting engrossing plots and compelling characters has earned both critical praise and legions of fans. Published in 25 countries, her stories have been lauded as “thrill-packed page turners, white- knuckle rides and edge-of-your-seat whodunits.”

Raised in Rockford, Illinois, Erica had planned on being an artist, earning a BFA from Delta State University and an MFA from the University of New Orleans in the visual arts. In June of 1982, in bed with a cold, she picked up a romance novel for relief from daytime television. She was immediately hooked, and soon decided to try to write one herself. She leaped from romance to suspense in 1996 with her novel Forbidden Fruit, and found her true calling.

Her novel Bone Cold won the prestigious Daphne du Maurier Award for excellence. A Romance Writers of America Honor Roll member, she received a Kiss of Death Award for her novels Forbidden Fruit and Dead Run and was a three-time RITA® Award finalist. Publishers Weekly awarded the audio version of her novel Shocking Pink a Listen Up Award, naming it one of the best audio mystery books of 1998.

Erica lives just outside New Orleans, Louisiana, with her husband and two sons and is busy at work on her next thriller.

I have long been a fan of Erica Spindler. This is the 3rd book in the Lightkeepers series. A fast reading thriller that had me hooked from the first page to the last. Detectives Dare and Harris investigate the apparent suicide of a wealthy developer. The characters and this story will have you wondering if indeed there are other life forms inhabiting our world. Thank you NetGalley, Trident Media Group and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book.

I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first when this series came out as its not my usual genre but I gave it a chance because I love Erica's other books. With that being said, I've found this series has caught its stride, I found this book, the third to be my favourite so far. It was fast paced, the two main characters are likeable and I enjoyed the storyline very much. Now I can't wait for the fourth one.

I was give the great pleasure of reviewing a copy of the Fallen Five by one of my favorite authors Erica Spindler, NetGalley and the authors publisher. This Lightkeeper series is a great for lovers of paranormal suspense genre. I was hooked from the first page and always eagerly await the next novel. What if the powers of Good and Evil are fighting just beyond our human senses? What if you were drawn into the fight? The Main character Micki “Mad Dog” Dare is living it.

I am such a big fan of Erica Spindler and the Lightkeepers series... and all her books! When I was approved for an advanced copy of this book I was so excited and could not wait to jump straight in.

This series is fantastic. I love Micki Dare and her partner Zach Harris. Fore warning.... if you have not read the first 2 books in this series do not read this book until you have. There is a continuous story throughout the books and you will be lost without all the information.

In this book Dare and Harris are called to the scene when a weathly businessman seemingly throws himself off a balcony of his apartment. But all is not what it seems and Micki and Zach fight to oncoverr the truth.

I absolutely loved this book....and I really can't wait another year for book 4! Thank you so much to Double Shot Press and NetGalley for a copy of this book to read and enjoy in exchange for my honest opinions. If you haven,t read an Erica Spindler book before WHY NOT!!

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Fallen Five by Erica Spindler that I read and reviewed.
I did not think it was possible but this series just keep getting better with every book. I am completely addicted to The Lightkeepers and I love Zach and Micki as partners and as characters in a book that I can't get enough of them.
Fallen Five was an excellent read from start to finish and I loved how Zach and Micki's relationship grew in this book and I can't wait to see where it goes in the next book. This was one of those books you could not put down because you could not wait to see what was going to happen next. Spindler out did herself this time.
Fallen Five gets five out of five stars.

Fallen Five – Erica Spindler

I was fortunate to receive this novel as an Advance Reader Copy, in exchange for an objective review.
New Orleans Detectives Michaela Dare & Zach Harris are back again, as they are called to investigate the death of a local millionaire, after a fall from the 21st story of his newly opened business – but was it a suicide, or something more sinister? And why are the dead man’s daughters so convinced that his wife is responsible, when she was in the lobby, surrounded by party-goers, when he fell to his death?

As they begin to explore the crime scene, Zach, a half breed Lightkeeper, begins to sense things that do not add up. Who is the strange woman in his visions that beckons to him, yet whom he cannot identify? And what did she have to do with the millionaires death?

Meanwhile, Mich receives a gift from a long lost mentor, Hank, minutes after believing that she’s seen him walking outside of her home. Uneasy with the coincidence, she opens the package to find a letter and a medal that the remembers Hank always wore. She puts it on, and almost immediately feels a connection.
As the search for a killer continues, strange events continue to happen, leading Mich & Zach to suspect something far more sinister is occurring.

But this time, the murderer has set their sights on Mich, and all that she holds dear is in peril…

I have always enjoyed anything written by Erica Spindler, and this series is no different! A great police procedural, with a little paranormal added in, and you have yourself a first-rate series!! Readers of Kay Hooper will love this series by Erica Spindler!

I’ve been a huge Erica Spindler fan since we sat by each other in preschool & she’d regale me with her tales..... ok, not really, just wishful thinking - tee hee hee! But I AM a gargantuous fan & impatiently wait for each new book of hers.... this new series threw me for a loop, how much I’m enjoying it! The characters of Mickie, Zach, & all the others? I really wanna just meet up at The Ruby Slipper for some brunch & then all pile up together at Debbie Does Doberge..... because I just luurrrvvv Ms Spindler’s stories being based in a great city of my home state..... although she could throw in a bit more local flavor for us “great food addicts”.
All in all, another hit here - check it out, y’all!
