Description
A billionaire and a single mother have more in common than they know.
He’s a billionaire businessman …
Luciano
Donati, entrepreneur and eligible bachelor, lost his first wife to
cancer. So though he lives in romantic Charleston, SC, he has every
intention of ignoring the upcoming holiday for lovers … at least until
he sets eyes again on his younger sister’s best friend.
He
remembers Anastasia as a teenager who idolized him, not this lovely,
fragile woman with heartbreak in her eyes. Heartbreak that he finds
himself wanting to cure. Her smile warms his soul, her touch ignites his
desire, and her little girl Soo-Min melts his frozen heart. Adopted
internationally himself at a young age, Luciano understands all too well
the strong need to belong somewhere.
She’s a single mom …
Anastasia
Markow, cancer survivor and divorced mother, didn’t come to Charleston,
SC, for romance. She's here to make sure she has custody of her adopted
daughter, Soo-Min. But when she encounters the first man she ever
loved, here in the city of horse-drawn carriages and candlelight, her
battered heart can’t help but bloom again. And when Luciano and Soo-Min
take to each other, resisting his charm becomes even harder.
Handsome,
self-assured, every inch the successful billionaire, Luciano is out of
Anastasia's reach. But when a hurricane strands them together and they
must trust each other to survive … things heat up despite the driving
rain and gale winds.
Can Valentine’s Day bring this unlikely pair together … this time for good?

Note: Thousands of families around the world have opened their homes
and hearts through international adoption. Soo-Min is the embodiment of
many, many fortunate adoptive children and parents who’ve together
created forever families.

I LOVE YOU MORE is a complete story and left me caring about all of the characters. Josie Riviera takes a realistic look at cancer, weaves in a beautiful view of adoption, and then addresses divorce in a way I found refreshing. All together, I LOVE YOU MORE is a lovely, memorable sweet romance.
"This was the first book I've read by this author, but it definitely won't be the last!" ~Amazon Reviewer
"This is a beautiful love story on so many levels . It contains the universal appeal of love, loss, empathy, abandonment, restitution, fidelity ,friendship, humor, and happiness. Josie Riviera combines these elements with skill to create an interesting and inspiring novella." ~Amazon Reviewer

I Love You More is a sweet romance dealing with some difficult subjects, cancer, survival, adoption and betrayal but with a sweet HEA. In addition, it is has elements of a second chance romance that never really got the first full romance begun. Anastasia and Luciano have both suffered heartache during their separate lives, but by meeting up again, they are able to begin a life together of support and love.
Although a novella, the books touches on those difficult subjects from a realistic perspective. Anastasia’s adopted daughter, Soo-Min, loves both of her parents and in her own innocent way helps her mom to see how important relationships are to children.
Luciano, as an adopted adult, longs for his birth family and what he remembers of his home country of Italy. Mix his feelings with those of Anastasia and you have what could become a disaster.
The inclusion of Liz and her willingness to ‘share’ only complicates things for Anastasia all the more. She does not want to deal with Liz, nor with the possibility of her cancer returning. But, that is her life.
For a novella, this is a powerful book and worth your time to read.
A fun and exciting read from the beginning to the very end ! Great chemistry between protagonist. Readers will not be disappointed.
4 stars !
I received this ARC through Netgalley for a honest review.
This book wasn't really for me, which is weird because I love billionaire and single parent romance tropes. I don't even mind a clean romance, but this book moved at a very sedate pace, almost too sedate. There were threads left hanging on certain storylines and at times it felt like more than one person wrote this story. It was still well written but could use a story editor to help with remaining issues.
This is a novella that I quite liked. It can be difficult for me to fully embrace novellas sometimes because it can be difficult to fully capture the characters and their story in a smaller amount of pages. I think this was a heartwarming novella that I found to be charming and immensely readable. I like that the story covered a variety of issues – adoption, custody, blended families, and cancer. I think they were all dealt with in a sensitive way but I only wish there had been more time for exploring them. That’s really my only issue with the novella – I wish there had been more time to spend with the characters and more time for the story to develop. It’s a good, solid novella but I think it could have been a wonderful full-length novel. It was a light read but it could have been much more nuanced. I enjoyed it but I just wish Josie Riviera had more time to explore the story.
Josie Riviera is such a sweet romance writer. She had me at page 5 in this fun, romantic novella. You'll love Anastasia and Luciano as they meet again after many years since high school in Vermont. I loved that Anastasia and her ex husband adopted a baby internationally, which plays, well in the story of co-parenting. You'll fall in love with this story and want more of this sweet family. It gave me all the feels ♡ Thanks, Josie the story put me in a happy, warm and cheery mood on this cold, icy night.
Anastasia had a crush on Luciano when she was a teenager and he was a college student. She had been friends with his sister and had always felt comfortable and at ease around Luciano. Now it was sixteen years later and he was more handsome than he had been all those years before. He was a widower whose wife had died of cancer. There was still a strong connection between them.
Anastasia was a single mom who had a young daughter who had been adopted from Korea. She shared custody of Soo-Min with her ex-husband. She wanted to do what was best for her daughter and she felt like that would be for her to have sole custody. Her ex, Justin, had married a woman who was almost half his age and who had finally caused the break-up of their marriage. That was best, . . right?
This story was a quick read but I felt like it was a bit disjointed at times. There were so many elements and storylines that I felt a little like I was getting whiplash. There was a hurricane that came from out of nowhere, a cancer diagnosis that was unresolved, a trip to Italy to connect to birth family members, an attorney friend that jetted back and forth from Charlotte to Vegas to Italy to Vegas again.
In the end, there is a happy ending for all the characters in the story.
I was given an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book, It was a fast easy read. Luciano remembers his sister's best friend as a teenager. Now Anastasia is all grown up with a daugter of her own. She is going threw a rough time can Luciano make it better?
