Description
Photojournalist Kayli Heddon is sent on an airboat safari for a photo
essay and gets stranded deep in the Everglades with her ruggedly
handsome guide. She is forced to learn some tough lessons -- namely,
trust means everything in the dangerous River of Grass and a skilled
partner can make all the difference in her survival.
Skye Landers
takes the airboat safari gig as a favor to his cousin. He doesn't
expect the governor's photographer to catch his eye, but Kayli Heddon is
unlike any woman he has ever met. Skye knows he should keep his
distance, but common sense goes out the window whenever he gets near
her.
Unfortunately, Kayli thinks honesty is the most important
thing in a relationship -- any relationship -- and Skye Landers is a
fraud. When secrets surface from Skye’s past, Kayli and Skye are soon on
the run from more than just alligators.

Loved it! Petie McCarty made me laugh and cry. Once I started this book, I did not want to stop reading. An exciting adventure in the Everglades. It probably helped that I have been there. A delightful romance filled with sexual tension which never strayed beyond kissing. Not a fan of intimate details or swear words and this tale did not contain either. I look forward to reading more by this author.
Overall a good read. Kayli is sent to the Everglades to check out the issues of environmental problems. She is paired up with hunky Skye, who is taking his cousin's place as a Seminole guide. Hard to put this down at times, and skim a bit on others. Didn't like the Colombian drug guys, and would have preferred more of the adventure without that. Other than that, I liked the sparks and the characters, and would highly recommend this book.
