Description
Special Ops Coast Guard Captain Gage Connor has a penchant for finding
trouble, and that's exactly what he gets when he meets Cody Ryan, the
red-headed spitfire fated to be his partner in the Annual Loon Fishing
Tournament, accompanied by an assemblage of townsfolk as zany as the
name.
The mayor of Loon makes up his own rules for the private
town tournament. His lunkhead son plans to cheat to win the event, and
his daughter just plans to cheat to win Gage Connor.
To further
complicate matters, Gage is unaware his borrowed bass boat served as the
exchange point for payment of uncut diamonds for drugs, and the
smugglers want their diamonds back. The Colombians are playing for keeps
and will stop at nothing to retrieve their stash, even if they must
resort to kidnapping.

Fun and entertaining story. Cody enters a fishing competition in the city of Loon, as a way to honor her late dad. She and Gage start on the wrong foot when she gets the last boat slip and the last hotel room in town plus he is one of her competitors in the fishing competition.
Easy to read and sometimes very funny. There was just a bit too much going on. Both Cody and Gage are confronted with things from the past, jealousy and to top it off an adventure with some nasty criminals. There was also a small but predictable twist in the story.
Overall a good read. 3,5 stars.
This book is great! What a fun and interesting story line with equally intriguing characters. I read this book in one sitting, it was so good that I couldn't put it down. The opening chapter is so well writing it draws you in and you start to get a good feel for how fun and complex the dynamics between Gage and Cody is going to be in this book. The relationship between them is fun and the banter between them draws you in has you rooting for them to get together during this fishing tournament and after. I love the small town of Loon and all of the people in it. It is a lovely setting for this fishing tournament and all the chaos that comes with it. Really great book!
