Dead Jack and the Soul Catcher by James Aquilone is a NetGalley book I requested and the review is voluntary. This book is a blast. A zombie PI, a skeleton in a zoot suit, a witch, and a doll like creature that is so powerful that everyone is after him. These are the main characters and they have some interesting characters after them like Nazi zombies, demons, and more. It is clever, witty, and very humorous. I didn't read book one but I wasn't lost at all reading this. I won't miss the next one!
Dead Jack and the Soul Catcher by James Aquilone was received direct from the publisher. This is my second Dead Jack book and they haven't slowed down just yet. The book picks up somewhat after the first one but is a stand alone book, you don't need to read them in order if you don't want to. Anyway, the one liners keep coming, the new and unusual creature inhabitants keep annoying (and assisting) Dead Jack, the zombie detective, and the book never slows down into anything resembling inane drivel. If any of this sounds interesting to you or possibly to someone you buy gifts for, grab this one up as it is better than I can describe.
