Description
United States Deputy Marshal Jim Sawyer returns from another bout of chasing outlaws and bringing them to justice to find everything he holds dear taken from him — his pregnant wife and his father-in-law brutally murdered and his ranch home a heap of smoldering ruins.
Before her death, Tessa Cloud Woman Sawyer cursed the men who killed her. After months of healing from a near-fatal wound, with a cold trail to follow, Jim relies on Cloud Woman's resolute spirit to lead him to the men who destroyed his family.
During the search, Jim encounters an outlaw girl he’d helped years before. As attraction blossoms between Jim and Katie Em, will Cloud Woman's spirit release him into the arms of another woman?

If you love Native American/Western/Ranching books, you will love this beautiful book by Loretta C. Rogers.
Jim Sawyer is a Deputy Marshall and had been gone a while, he can't wait to get home to his wife pregnant Tessa Cloud Woman Sawyer, father-in-law Joe and their ranch, but what awaits him will devastate him almost to the point of breaking.
Jim now finds himself back on the trail again, his aim, to find the scum who took his life away. He doesn't care if he brings them in alive or dead, as long as they pay for their evil deeds.
Jim takes us on his journey through love, loss and finally some semblance of happiness. He meets many good folk and found some wonderful friends along the way, bringing him full circle to a life he could barely imagine.
Absolutely wonderful book. Thanks to Netgalley and The Wild Rose Press for the opportunity to read and review.
