Wow! Another winner in the Rosato & DiNunzio series. Once more, the author has crafted a novel that had me turning pages just as quickly as possible. In this book, Mary is pregnant and working too hard. The firm is handling a large anti-trust case, when they are hit with a personal suit against the law firm and the partners individually. This causes their stress level to go through the roof as the hits keep on coming. I was literally flipping pages just as quickly as possible. The author had me totally engrossed until the very last page. I never could have predicted the guilty party in this mystery and the puzzle kept me guessing throughout the book.

This is fast moving fiction at its best. This is a must read for fans of the genre. The author is on my must read authors' list.

I have read Lisa Scottoline for many years and have enjoyed her books immensely. This book was no exception. It was a great read. The law firm is being sued for "male" discrimination and the ladies cannot deny they have been advocates for woman. When it comes to light their one male employee feels he has been slighted and mentioned in the law suit it goes from bad to worse especially when there is a murder of one of their own they are close to. As the ladies fight the law suit and try to solve the murder the plot takes a turn you might not have seen coming. Although it started out a little slow due to the details to keep you following along as to the status of those involved past and present this can be read as a stand alone novel and still be an enjoyable read.

I have read all of Lisa Scottoline's books.
This series is a favorite of mine- I have been looking forward to this chapter in the story.

In this latest thriller, Nick Machiavelli returns to sue the Rosato & DiNunzio law firm for reverse sex discrimination—claiming that three applicants were not hired because they were men. Their lone male employee, john Foxman, makes matters worse when he admits that he is looking for another position because he doesn't believe he will make partner as a male in an all-woman firm. Bennie and Mary feel betrayed when John admits he may have expressed his feelings during job interviews with competing law firms. Machiavelli has always been out to get Mary and even though she is pregnant, she and her law firm are in his sights. He will stop at nothing to bring Rosato & DiNunzio down, but murder? Mary is determined to show him for what he is even if it means including Flavia, his mother, and the Rosary Society.
I always enjoy a Scottoline book, but this is the best Rosato & DiNunzio book so far. No spoilers here, I won't divulge whether Mary and Anthony have a boy or girl. Scottoline has the Italian/South Philly experience at its best...I was laughing out loud at some of the dialogue between "Mare" and the ladies from the Rosary Society, practically smelling the chocolate chip cookies and baked ziti.

A novel with a plot line that will keep the reader on their toes. Great characters, as usual. Machiavelli is back...and the South Philly mama’s are on a roll. For mystery lovers and Scottaline fans...enjoy!!

I was reading the synopsis of this book on Goodreads and it is not what the book is about at all. This is the 6th book of this series and just as good as the others.
When three men announce that they are suing the Rosato & DiNunzio law firm for reverse sex discrimination—claiming that they were not hired because they were men—Mary DiNunzio and Bennie Rosato are outraged. To make matters worse, their one male employee, John Foxman, intends to resign, claiming that there is some truth to this case. The plaintiffs’ lawyer is Nick Machiavelli, who has already lost to Mary once and is now back with a vengeance —determined not to not only win, but destroy the firm. Then one of their own is murdered and dealing with that on top pf everything else. Very fast paced and still love the characters in this series.
