Description

Two sex demons walk into a church and get married in the sight of God, surrounded by their friends and family. Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke? Not so much.

All Perrian “Perry” Haines wants is to marry the man of her dreams—more like nightmares—and be left alone, but when Samael, a psychotic archangel, is out to murder her and all her kind, it puts a damper on her not so happily ever after. Submitting to Samael almost seems safer than her new husband, the seductive sex-demon O’Neil Haines, whose secrets hold the key to her survival and her humanity.

Instant snark-filled sparks fly as Perry and Haines discover the origins of her birth and the real reason Samael wants to end her destiny. What a way to start a honeymoon!

This book was previously self-published by the author and has been lightly edited.

I usually stick to cozy mysteries, but enjoy Robin Peterman's Hot Damned series, this one was snarky, fun and oh so enjoyable to read. Looking forward to a lot more!

I was given this book by Netgalley and the Publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Sometimes you just need a little mindless trashy read. Something fun and quick. This books fits the bill perfectly.

Perry is a succubus who must marry an incubus to help control her powers and learn how to defeat Samael, a graceless Angel who wants to kill her and everyone like her.

The story is interesting, the characters are fun, and it definitely fills the trash quotient. In a good way.

This is reminiscent to me of Darynda Jones' Charley Davidson series, but with more naughty parts.

I loved this book just as much as I thought it would. It has just enough snarky. A girl finds out she is a succubus and everything else it entails a lot later than she should have. She also has to marry an incubi to get ready to prepare herself for Samael the archangel who made a big boo boo with Lilith. This is a great take on angels and demons and I highly recommend it. If you don’t like sexy time in books this is definitely not the book for you because they are sex demons lol.

Perrian "Perry" is half succubus and half human. Her parents have convinced her it would be to her benefit to marry an incubus. Perry hates Haines, the incubus she is to marry. He is so condescending, but she goes through with the marriage anyway. Maybe things will start looking up soon. Yeah, right!

Almost immediately after marriage, Perry discovers she is a descendant of Lilith and believe it or not, an actual angel. Not only is she dealing with a husband she is starting to like, but trying very hard not to, but Perry is also going through some very big changes. To top it all off, a certain angel is hell-bent on ending Perry. How will she ever survive?

HUNTED BY ANGELS is just as full of humor as it is of romance. Perry certainly has met her match in Haines. To be honest, I didn't connect with either character until much later in the story. That is when they both reveal more about themselves and really open up. The passion between Perry and Haines is off the charts! I would have read this novel alone for it's sexy scenes.

Hell's Bells what a funny story. I hope we see more in Haines and Perry's world. What a fun, sexy, sad adventure. The cast are hilarious, loving, ornery, and well blended. Definitely need more of this rag tag bunch!

I did not get a chance to read this book as I was approved for me to read and it was instantly archived by Netgalley in the same day.

a real new story, about humans, demons, angels. It has a lot of sex in it. Prefarable for older teens

This was a solid start of a series for me. I liked the story line and the whole world that the author built. I thought the subplot of Succubi and Incubus being a manifestation of an Angel's sin was intriguing and unique.

The characters were fun and interesting as well. I liked that Haines and Perry fought so much in the beginning. I actually thought Perry was slightly immature but she had solid reasoning and rounded out really well. Haines also got points for losing the bossy and senior attitude rather quickly. I liked that he had a motive but that it was well meant and not truly self-serving.

The crazy angel truly was a unique bad guy. I loved how the author portrayed him. I also liked that she didn't shy away from causing the characters grief. I rounded out the story and made the characters more real and fleshed out. I look forward to reading more form this author!

A wonderfully fiery lead female, who gets dropped in the deep end with none of the knowledge she needs to survive.

Perry's snark is instantly relatable, and her inner conflicts as interesting as her outer ones.

A great read

E-book/Chicklit Fantasy: When I saw this book on NetGalley, I looked at the reviews and all of them were four and five stars, so I chose it. It was a great read and I enjoyed it immensely.

Betsy Taylor is one of my favorite fictional friends. She is snarky and obsessed with shoes, but Mary Janice Davidson has turned that series into an inside joke that I, as a reader, cannot figure out all the time. There are too many characters that get killed only to come back, so I have been looking for a replacement. I think I found it. Perrian or Perry is a fun snarky character who is part demon. The title gives it away that angels are coming after her. I like that the characters are limited as this book is only 266 pages. The plot is quick with sexiness in between. I did guess the ending correctly (probably because I watched a lot of Buffy and Angel).

I started to put this book down because I did not like the beginning and the forced marriage. Her husband was mean to her, but I decided to troop along and within a few pages I realize Perry had the upper hand. I am partial to first person narratives and I love living like Perry for a few hours. I will be on the lookout for future episodes of Perry's life.

Not the best story I read so far. The plot is clear but the story is far too predictable. I will like to have more excitement from the story. But overall the story is not too bad.

Things I liked
This story was super easy to follow and it kept its interest until the very end. It was interesting for me to follow Perry and her husband on their journey and to follow them with their discoveries. I also enjoyed the fast tempo a lot as I feel that this kept the book interesting until the end and it was quick to read as well. The author's writing style was also really good and I enjoyed reading her work in general.

Concluding word
All in all, I think this book was great and I don't see anything negative to say about it. I enjoyed the book immensely and I can't wait to read more books in this series but also just more books from the author.
