Description
Bollywood Invasion is a fantasy novel about a modern-day American boy
wakes up in 1958 India as the reincarnation of John Lennon.
What if Lennon had known Chapman before his murder…
Sixteen-year-old
John Palmieri is living an average life in modern-day Brooklyn until
one day when he wakes up as the prince of a royal family in India,
thirty-five years before he was born. Suddenly, he finds himself with
riches and power beyond his wildest fantasies. Brooklyn is readily
forgotten. Life becomes a constant stream of debauchery, coming to a
stand-still only when he meets “the one.” However, love doesn’t come
easy. He must become a better man, a pursuit ignited by his memories of
Beatles songs on his iPod.
Will these legendary songs change John’s life?
Will he ever find his way back to Brooklyn?
His fate will unfold in Bollywood Invasion.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I received this book through the Netgalley site. Imagine if you will being hit by a bus and not only waking up in a different time but also a different culture. This is what happens to a teenage John in NYC who is set back to India in the 1960's. He has to learn to readjust to his new life but also the thought of knowing things that will happen for the next 40+ years. With that knowledge, is he able to adjust or to make himself popular use the upcoming events that are in fact in his history to not only become the popular kid in school but also win the girl of his dreams.... I read an average of 1-2 books a month and this novel was one of the best I have read in the past five years. I had a hard time putting it down. The characters are very well written and the plot flows at a great pace. The book kept my interest throughout and I highly recommend it to those that like out of time type plots. Especially the movie "Somewhere in Time".
