Description

The world is ending…or so it seems for junior tennis champion Ele O’Neill. How can she face life in a Montana ghost town after Seattle? No tennis courts, no friends, and she’s stuck in a falling down old theatre with a rotten little brother and parents who are acting like aliens. And something’s hiding in Ele’s room, watching her every move, but no one will listen to her.

Steven Douglas is a nineteen-year-old cowboy with one little problem—he’s been dead for over one hundred fifty years. He’s supposed to protect the weird O’Neill family from unimaginable evil lurking in the theatre, but the modern world of tight jeans and outspoken young ladies—namely tall, blonde Ele O’Neill—has his full attention.

Though he seems kind of old-fashioned, Ele soon learns her ghost boyfriend Steven will brave her parents and hell itself to save her—and he’ll have to!

This is a sweet and easy to read YA romance... With a ghost!
It's well written and captures the angst ridden view of a teenager very well indeed. Definitely one for the younger audiences that will relate, rather than adults that will cringe.
It's very sweet and PG rated, innocent kisses, whilst having a pretty good historical element from the wild west.
No obvious criticism, rather this was just aimed very much at a younger audience, so I did not enjoy as much as I thought.

Electra, excuse me Ele has just moved to Montana with her bratty brother Eugene and her parents. They have just inherited an old theater from her dad's aunt. Steven Douglas is a ghost who was killed in 1863 by the Innocents Gang. He was sent back to make sure no one removed the number off the door in the cellar.. If it's removed, then the Innocents Gang can get out and destroy the town. Things are not going well at school. She was very popular and on the tennis team in Seattle. She keeps hearing something in her room. She wakes up one night to see a young, handsome man in her room. She screams but no one can see Steven unless they believe in him. He has some old fashioned ideas but Ele starts to like him. She's sixteen and needs a friend. Eugene can see him, also. After Eugene sets off a smoke bomb in the cellar, the numbers are gone. The Innocents Gang gets out.and terrorize the town. They have to make their parents believe so Steven can tell them what's happening. She and Steven fall in love, but it can never be because she's too young and he is a ghost. What can they do? Her parents believe but what can what do with a bunch of evil ghosts? You call out the Vigilantes, the toughest dead cowboys ever. They round up the gang and put them back where they belong. Now Steven can go to the light but Ele can barely stand it. Steven tells her that she will find happiness. She has to believe. Will it get better for Ele or will she did of a broken heart? Read this great book to see what happens next. Loved this book. I received this book from Wild Rose Press, Inc for a honest review and no compensation otherwise.
