Second Chance Option

I have never read a book by Mrs. Spaur and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the story and the characters. However I will admit that sometimes I felt like things were glossed over and not really explained that needed to be.

Cade and Tess are complete opposites. Cade is ex-navy and Tess is a genius vet. When I say genius, I mean she graduated College at 13. Tess and Cade meat when one of Cade's Bernese Mountain dogs gets hit back a car the first day he moves back to town he went to college in. He has moved back to help his College football coach get the position back after he was forced into retirement. One of Tess's triplets brothers see the dog get hit and helps Cade get him to the Vet. There is an instant attraction between Tess and Cade. Tess gets the dog stabilized but need to leave for a school board meeting. Tess is on the Board for the same College that Cade is trying to get a job with as a coach. They run into each other after the meeting and Cade realized that Tess is his Coach Ed's grandfather.

Tess and Cade try and fight their attraction because not only is Tess the granddaughter of Cade's mentor, she will also be the deciding vote on which new football program there will be. Tess is very quirky and nerdy. Cade is very alpha but their differences is what makes them work.

I really enjoyed this book. It has dual POV, funny parts and some steamy romance. I can't wait for more books in this series.

Great book!!! I really didn't think I was going to like this book that much in like oh geez another sports romance! But this book really doesn't focus to much on the sport, just enough lol this is Cade and Tess book, Tess is a veterinarian and Cade is ex navy and used to play football back in the day for their local high school. The school wants Cade back to coach but certain people at the school want to get rid of the football program all together, definitely bad people! I really don't think we've seen the last of them! I can't wait for book two!! This was a really good book! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for sharing this book with me!

Who doesn't love a second chance book, however, this book went much further than just the relationship. This was about second chances on many levels, love, career, family. Elizabeth Spaur wrote a book that kept you entertained and had you rooting for certain outcomes. Book had all the great items, love, loyalty, deception, vengence, KARMA...

Another new to me author that I found that I am loving! The story itself was really great but I really like the main characters, Tess and Cade. Tess is a genius veterinarian who is a contestant on American Ninja Warrior, how baddass is that! And Cade a former football star, a retired military man who loves dogs, talk about swoon-worthy!

I really had no complaints on this book at all, the story was engaging, kept my interest the whole time, I actually could not put it down. The spark between these two was sweet and pretty sexy. I really liked the character growth of both Tess and Cade. By the end both became stronger because of their relationship.

I am really looking forward the the next books in this series. The secondary characters were really fun!
