Many thanks to Kogan Page and Netgalley for this ARC
I found this book on giving the "ultimate presentation" to contain solid advice on how to job search. This is such an area that schools and coaches do not teach and so many of us flounder around trying to get right. Some seem to naturally get it and others just cannot get these skills down.
Jay walks the reader through how to begin your search, what tools to use, guidance on CV or resume writing , employment tests and interviewing. All tremendously helpful. As a people manager that has to do interviews, I also picked up some new ways to do interviews, harden up the questions in ways to help get the candidate to present themselves better, ask better questions that were open to deep diving.
I have read a lot of books on presentation skills. This one really is comprehensive, covering the use of presentation skills for job interviews and speaking on the phone as well as presentations at work, as pitches and on a ‘big’ stage. I found the book easy to read and I learned some tips.
