Description
--Reed Resnikoff
AND NOW HER FATHER HAS GONE MISSING.
Max Zwoelstra teams up with Chicago PI Scanner Grant as they travel to Hong Kong in search of Max’s adoptive father who has disappeared while selling cheese to the Chinese.
Closer to home, a slew of abductions and the gruesome murder of a young Tibetan girl severely rattle Scanner’s old friend and guardian, the esoteric taxi driver Lobsang.
As both seemingly unrelated cases edge closer to an explosive finale, Scanner & Max need all the help they can muster while they confront a Nazi scientist, a battle scarred Vietnamese pimp, an over the hill Aussie punter and a morbid Japanese priest.
The long hidden secrets they unravel along the way are bound to change their lives forever.

Featured Reviews
For a first book by an author this is very well written. There are quite a few characters, but they are easy to recognize and easy to picture in your mind. Good story, nice flow, a little funny and not much dead weight. Very good reading!
Max is needing Scanner to use his PI skills to help her find her father. He has gone to Hong Kong and so that is where they are off to first. Dad sells Wisconsin cheese. Hoping to open the market for their product in the Orient. Max has been told Scanner is who she needs to help her. Why him? What is behind all of this? Lobsang a Tibetan who was a very good friend of Scanner's father took him to raise when his parents died. The great part of this story is how the history of both Max and Scanner bring them together. Lots going on in this story.
