As her once-perfect world crashes down around her, a series of dreams lead her from a pit of despair into the arms—and bed—of the man who unlocks her love.

Evan Giamatti didn’t mean to fall in love with his happily married coworker. That’s not his style. But, when her life falls apart, staying in the friend zone isn’t easy. Determined to be the compassionate friend she needs while she picks up the pieces of her fractured heart, he fights his own growing desire. Intent on convincing her to take a chance on a future with him, Evan prays her ability to trust and love again isn’t irrevocably shattered.

I read Unlocking Love in the one sitting as I am a quick reader. The story is about Erynne who is successful in her career and is happily married. Evan is new to her company and overtime falls in love with Erynne. Meanwhile Erynne marriage starts to fall apart and Evan is there to be her friend and hopefully more.

A lot was crammed into the story initially with many threads happening with Erynne & Evan, the husband BDSM past, husband boss getting involved, Evan parents, Evan plans for the future and a few other characters you get to know. To me it felt like I was reading for a long time before anything steamy happened with the two main characters then the end of the book appeared very abruptly.

I wish I was able to connect more with the two main characters without the distractions of all the other characters, then maybe I would have felt more satisfied with the ending?

I received a copy of this book from Backlit PR via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Despite being a quick red, this novel packs quite a lot into its pages. In the beginning, it is almost too much as the author sets the stage for her drama, but it is impossible not to become invested in the story. Filled with twist and manages to be both intense and humor all in one book. The characters have depth and are likable, with Evan being the soft hearted loving hero we come to crave.

While Unlocking Love doesn’t bring anything new to the table, it still manages to capture the reader’s heart and interest.

Erynne believes she is living the fairy tale life until she finds out about her husband’s affair. Evan is a new co-worker and is willing to be there and pick up the pieces. Will they find a future together? This was a good read for me I liked the characters and the story. Was a bit slow paced in the beginning and wanted more of an ending. Entertaining read.

I loved the relationship between this two. It was a very good romance. I can’t wait to read more. I hope this is a series!

Unlocking Love is a very untraditional romance novel. It begins and the heroine is in a troubling marriage, which gets progressively worse. She begins to have feelings for her new boss, and a whole lot comes tumbling down. Evan, the hero, is there to catch her when she falls.

There was a LOT happening in this book. It was a unique read for me because I usually only read about couples who are, for the most part, happy. To read about a divorcing couple while also having an aspect of romance did a number on my emotions!

I do believe this book was well-written and I look forward to what Anya brings to the table.

I received Unlocking Love for free in exchange for an honest review. This was my first book by Anya Sharpe. At first, I was not sure where the story was going, as it kept showing Erynne being in love with her husband and everyone talking about how great he was, but then the cracks started to show. When this happened, her coworker was there to swoop in. He of course was secretly very rich and was able to sweep her off of her feet. I enjoyed both of the characters, but did feel that perhaps Erynne was moving a little too quickly for it to be a real relationship-- already discussing moving in with him after only a few weeks of dating-- and a few weeks of being divorced, however, I did like it and will likely read more by this author if given the chance.

This was an light enjoyable read. It starts with our heroine trapped in an unhappy marriage leaving our hero to watch her from the sidelines. But then things change and he is free to express his emotions. She finds comfort in his arms and they ride off into the sunset...................... (figuratively)

3.5 - 4 stars

The story was intense at times, and I loved it, for the most part. It kinda reminds me of another book I just finished.
Also, felt like it was missing something.. I just can't place my finger on it.
Overall, I recommend it.

I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Evan and Erynne was a good read. It has a betrayal, sadness, how she over came it. I recommend this book.

Great storyline and characters. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning the pages in anticipation of where it would lead. I was very intrigued with the characters in the story. Simply awesome and I loved it. Really made up to find this author and definitely be looking for more books by her. Highly recommend

I liked this book, a lot, I thought it had a great story line and I’m glad it didn’t sweep what was happening to the female lead under the rug to focus on the new stuff. I’m glad we got to go through her story to find her happy ending.
However I am disappointed in how many spelling errors there was in this story.
I enjoyed it, thought I wouldn’t read it again.
