Description
Nelvin Crumbholtz is anything but your regular guy, as much as he would like to be. Skinny, nerdy and trapped in a dead end job as a telemarketer.
The job market is just too competitive for him to find anything better. Huhh. Anything better. Boy! Was he in for a surprise. His car is on its last leg, he barely makes ends meet and no girl will look his way because of his anemic appearance. He works out faithfully to improve his appearance; but to no avail.
Countless hours have been spent keeping his resume in tip top shape and every evening he is at the computer surfing the web for companies that he can submit it to. One night after doing so he experienced something that defies description.
To try and relate his experience to someone would only invite laughter or ridicule. He wants something better. What he gets is . . . well . . . you just won't believe it. There's a new superhero in town. Meet . . . PHASE.
Advance Praise
I never liked super heroes. As a kid, I didn't read comic books. I didn't see the Superman or Rocket Man movies that are so wildly popular. I thought the Batman series was a yawn. So, why did I love Phase so much? Is it because Nelvin Crumholtz didn't start out being Tony Starke or Bruce Wayne--rich, tended to by servants, lots of cool gadgets at his disposal? Maybe.
But the author's clever foreshadowing of the life Nelvin is destined to have compared to the "work-a-day" subsistence he endures, gives the reader every chance to cheer for Nelvin BECOMING a super hero as well as BEING A super hero. Part Sci Fi and part fantasy, Phase is a credit to and a giant step forward in both genres! The author has created a book that will take its place with Superman, Spider Man and all the others who come to our side when we truly need a hero! By far the best book of its kind I have ever read!

Three things I liked about Phase...
It’s written in a present tense, which keeps the book feeling as if it’s happening in an unfolding, moment-to-moment way.
Phase is clearly science fiction but still written in a real and relatable, which also adds...
Humor and pathos. A fun sci-fi read.
