Encourage Yourself in the Lord

It is true that the life of a believer is filled with challenges of all kind---but God offers countless promises to help you face every situation. Although God has so graciously provided us with the necessary providence to overcome life’s’ challenges, we must set our heart to take encouragement from our relationship with Him in the worst of times. It is our duty and interest as believers that whatever happens, we can encourage ourselves in God, being assured that He can and will bring light out of darkness, peace out of trouble, and good out of evil to all that love Him and “who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). We can always find solace in the Word of God when the weight of life seems to come in like a flood if we would just hold on to, and encourage ourselves in the promises of God.
