Alex is an exotic animal veterinarian. Zatar is prince of Kattahar and owns a zoo that rehabilitates animals. His lioness is sick and pregnant and he sends for Alex. Alex checks out the lioness and prescribes some medicine and goes to leave. The meds must be ordered and Zatar keeps Alex there, against her wishes, until the medicine arrives and the animal starts feeling better. They have a sudden connection and the sparks fly between them. But his father, the King, disapproves and orders Alex away. Zatar disagrees with his father and the King leaves, leaving Zatar in charge. When an accident happens, Zatar must lead a country and hopefully with a Queen by his side.
A kidnapping, a prince, a vet, and a harem. Good story and wonderful characters. Sexy scenes and almost a love at first sight story.

Alexis/Alex had just got to the palace. Alex was a veterinarian who specializes in exotic animals care her love was big cats. Alex had got a call from a man named Timak the night before to come rescue his employers ailing lioness. Alex was used to late night calls and it was why she was so revered in her field and one of the highest paid vet in Europe and the Middle East. Timak was the palace zookeeper and met as she got off the helicopter. The lioness was Sala and she was pregnant. Prince Zatar Balzar was upset about Sala. He had received Sala as an orphaned lion cub for his twenty fifth birthday for his mother. Two years later she had passed away so Sala was his last link to his mother. When Alec came upon Sala she was panting in the shade at the back of the enclosure. Then the prince said there had been a mistake acting like an immature spoiled prince Alex turned to walk away from the prince and Sala when his hand grabbed her arm and the prince said “ wait” Keeping Sala alive and healthy was all that really mattered to Zatar. Zatar had promised his mother to continue her work by rescuing abused and endangered animals. Alex’s attitude both incensed and intrigues Zatar, no one would speak to him like Alex did but his father -with such disrespect. Te harem girls did not like Alex first because of the way she looked and then because the prince had dinner with her. The next day the prince had Alex moved to a guest room two doors down from his own room. Alex was very attracted to the prince and she knew she had to control it and not give in as she also knew an affair with Zatar could ruin her reputation. Zatar were also very attracted to Alex she was different then the women he was used to. The prince refused to let Alex leave until Sala gave birth. Which would be two weeks. Sala had an infection which was common in pregnant lionesses. Zatar thought about Alex and his strange circumstances. She wa spart employee, part guest, part intoxicating temptation that grew by the second. Then Alex wat his door but he seen his father and had her go in his closet and he would explain to her later. This his father-King Patar said that he had a foreign woman in his home and Zatar said what he did in his personal life was none of the kings business but the king disagreed and brought up it was time he got a bride and had a son for his heir. His father had always been demanding and impatient but since his wife's death it seemed his father noe believed he could walk over everyone who stood in his way. Zatar kept his face neutral as his father hates the zoo. Zarat figured it was the link to his mother the king couldn’t handle. After King Patar left Zatar agreed with Alex his father was a pig about women and only used the for playthings. Then Zatar admitted admitted to Alex the first three months after his mother, he had done things he regretted . He was drunk out of his mind, he tried to numb himself with sex. He also gambled but for him it was a phase. Zatar wanted love and a real relationship with the woman he someday marries. Alex tells Zatar could only control himself. Then he moves closer and kisses Alex. Never once- before Zarar had Alex in all her years attending the rich, powerful, and famous, had she been remotely considered hooking up with a client. But Zatar’s gaze and mind wiping kisses made it impossible to pass up the chance.
I loved this book. I hope I get to read the next book in this series on Zarat’s sister. Again ms North did it with another excellent book and with a delicious sheikh but no surprise. I loved Zarat and Alec together and how they interacted. A little bit of insta/lust/love but not enough to take away from this book - I guess in my opinion just that great of a book. I could find nothing to really criticize that took away from this book happily. I loved the plot. But would like to see a book on Alex before she met Zarat and maybe her marriage and her dream happen. I loved the characters and the ins and outs and I highly recommend.

Dr. Alexis and Prince Zatar's story was a fun read. They were brought together by Sala, the Prince's beloved lioness, as Alexis, an exotic wildlife veterinarian works to save her. Not drama filled, it was more of a sweet sexy story of two people from different cultures revolving around Alexis and Zatar, with a common goal, saving Sala. A short read, it was pure entertainment. I love books like this as it always gives me as a reader that aha moment of pure enjoyment. I would like to thank NetGalley and Relay Pub. for gifting me "The Sheikh's Royal Seduction". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.25 Stars!
