Description
Still licking her wounds from a failed relationship, medical research scientist Elle Grant really doesn’t feel like joining her best friend on a trip home to Scotland. Her vacation gets off to a bad start when a sudden storm causes her to careen off a highland roundabout and total her rental car. Things get worse when she realizes that "Captain Control"--the arrogant highland police officer who rescues her-- is her best friend’s big brother.
Officer Conall Cameron prides himself on being no-nonsense and professional, but all that goes out the window the moment he meets the stubborn American beauty. She might get away with sassing police officers in the States, but not with him. Though she insists she can wait for the tow truck alone, it’s his sworn duty to keep her safe. Whether she likes it or not, Dr. Elleanor Grant won’t be going anywhere without him.
When Elle and Conall stumble through a hiccup in time, fate forces them to replay a heart-wrenching family history that occurred over two hundred years ago. Will they find common ground and recognize love for what it truly is?

Cindy James is new to me but I will read more if her books gladly.
This is a book that held my attention with ease and I found hard to tear myself away from .
A great storyline and characters, it’s a shame it wasn’t left open maybe for a sequel or even a series.
But nevertheless thoroughly enjoyable.
Many thx to Netgally and the publisher for allowing me anArc . copy .
I received an advance copy of this book and chose to submit a review
I tried to like Elle...but I couldn't. She is rude, loud and unreasonable. I liked Conall...aConall...and the highlander's. I loved the plot, but in the end, I gave up because Elle didn't deserve her HEA.
This is amy first book by this author and I enjoyed it so much that I looked for more of her work I couldn't find any so I am assuming this is a debut work and if it is she has knocked it out of the park.
Ella Grant has been betrayed by love she is still licking her wounds and she definitely doesn't want to go to Scotland with her friends but she is coerced into it Things get decidedly worse when she totals her rental car to say she doesn't hit it off with the attending officer is an understatement and the worse thing he is her friends brother so he is going to be around for the entire holiday. Officer Conall Cameron is a true professional and h isn't impressed by the way the American tourist talks to him that maybe acceptable where she comes from but not in Scotland she may want to wait for a tow truck alone but that isn't happening anytime soon he is there to serve and protect. When a hiccup in time spinns them back to ancient Caledonia they will have to work together to get themselves home again because even though this has happened to Connell before having a American tourist with him and a woman he is attracted to make is an all new ball game
Their Highland Trust by Cindy James is the story of Ella Grant and Conall Cameron.
Ella is talked into going to Scotland where her life seems to be just getting worse when she wrecks the rental car, then Conall comes to the rescue but he rubs Ella wrong but also in a hot way too. They both end up somehow traveling back in time where they must work together.
Different time travel story line for me since usually it one or the other that goes back and not both that will be involved in a relationship. Enjoyed it.
4.5 Stars!! I love time-travel to the past romance books! This is the first one I’ve read that both main characters go back in time! This was a really good read! If you like hot Scottish men & a smart American going into the 1600’s than you’ll love this! This is my first time reading Cindy James but it definitely won’t be the last!! I would’ve liked to know more in the epilogue & what they told the family members but other than that, it was a pretty great book! I would definitely recommend this book!
*I received this book at no charge from the publisher.*
I am not a fan of time travel so I had to force myself to continue because when I started reading I was ok until that part, regardless it is not a bad book but not my favorite.
Cindy James brings us a wonderful story in Their Highland Trust!! Reluctantly agreeing to a trio to Scotland with best friend, the last thing Elle needs is an accident that totally her rental and an arrogant police officer! Being wishes back in time with him forces them to work together. Will circumstances bring them together or drive them completely apart? You should definitely read this story and find out!!

A new author to me & I thoroughly enjoyed the book & it was unusual for both the hero & heroine to travel back in time. I found it to be a well written book that started slowly but then the pace quickened & I finished the second half of the book in a sitting. I look forward to reading more from the author
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
