A Portuguese Christmas

A wonderful Christmas story. Interesting characters with issues about family and self. Along the way they find love and solve their issues.

Great read set in Portugal in the run up to Christmas. Surfer Krystal is stuck in Portugal following an accident while surfing. Local Adolpho wants her to stay for christmas and sets out to make her change her mind.

Krystal is in Portugal for the surfing tournaments. After a wipe out, she is laid up with a concussion and sprained wrist. With her cousin married to a Portuguese man, she stays near them, and his brother Adolfo. Enjoyed this story and the characters, but didn't see the strong reason why she felt she had to surf, even with injuries. The desire to force her dad to her will also seemed off. I could see a need for conflict, but felt it wasn't stressed enough to show her reasons and reactions. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this book and author. Fun to read about a different culture and their holiday traditions.

Keeping her safe is his first priority, but this bold, courageous woman’s wings won’t be clipped. Before they can plant the seeds of a future together, he’ll have to convince her that spending Christmas—and maybe every holiday to come—with him isn’t the end of the world.
This was a cute story wrapped around the holiday theme. It was a quick and easy read that captured the holiday season. I liked both main characters and their interactions with each other. I recommend.

For anyone who enjoys a good read over the Christmas, then i would certainly recommend this book. I don't usually read much in the way of Christmas romance books, but i am glad that i read this one. So engrossed that it didn't take me long before i was on the last page! I have been to Portugal and could well imagine the setting for this story.
