Description
Sick and tired of magical men and mayhem, Alex a city witch, pledges to give magic a rest. Her vow is put to the test when she finds herself snowbound with a hunky mortal. She attempts life without magic even when faced with a demonic hen, a cow that acts like a dog, and a dog that acts human. But when all magic breaks loose and a unicorn shows up, it's the last straw. How will she keep her magic a secret? Steve, a reclusive prospector, lives alone in a remote Colorado valley because he doesn't trust himself around humans, especially those of the female persuasion. Once he meets the feisty Alex, breaking self-imposed rules is just the beginning. But how can he keep her safe from what lives inside him? Their connection grows, but the secrets they hide keep them from confessing their feelings. Will they be able to accept and control who and what they are in time to give their love a chance?

I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
A demonic hen, a cow that acts like a dog, and a dog that acts human? What more can you ask for? This was a cute and something engaging magical romance. Nothing spectacular, but enough to pass the time with. Would recommend if you're interested in a supernatural romance.
When I requested this book I was curious about "a demonic hen, a cow that acts like a dog, and a dog that acts human".
This means I had some expectations and they were met.
The book is entertaining and fun to read, the plot is engaging and I had a lot of fun.
Recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC
I really liked this story. The characters were interesting and really sweet together and the plot was pretty good. I am a little torn. The author did a very good job developing a magical world that had some unique elements to it, yet most of the description of how its different from other magical worlds in the literary world happened towards the end of the book and it really slowed down the pace of the book, and the overly descriptive shopping trip should have been much shorter, since most of it was world building vs plot development. All that being said, I would happily read another book by this author. Overall, a pretty good and funny paranormal romance. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
