Mrs. Richards does an eloquent job at being transparent, which is something most people have a problem doing, this defines includes me! This book isn’t a quick read, but the time spent on these pages are well worth it because the journey you go on with this family is emotional but it helps you intercede for a better outcome with every page you turn rooting for the best for her and her family! It reminded me of my brother’s story who also has Sickle Cell Anemia and gave me a small glimpse of what my mother was mentally going through as I spent a lot of time as a child at appointments and ER visits for him. I’m excited to see the extension of this book from the testimonies of God from her childrens’ eyes.
2. Good morning Mrs Richards, I just want to say that your introduction really blessed me. I am currently in the exact place where you were. Some of my journal entries mirror what you wrote. Especially the part with being disappointed with God. I’ve been going through a relationship situation for almost a year and I was so frustrated with God and one day God said to me "I had to break it to put it back the way I want it." I started to journal my experience and allow God to Lead me. Ive learned that my whole experience was bigger than a relationship, it was to reveal my level of trust in God. Im so e xcited to read the entire book. Its already encouraging me.
