Description
One broken heart . . . Two lonely people . . . Three good reasons to learn to love again.
After spending months alone, Jessica Jameson’s hellbent on numbing the pain of losing the love of her life to cancer by drinking enough whiskey that she can forget. Even if it’s only for one night. In the hotel bar, the last thing she expects is to meet a guy. A blonde-haired, green-eyed god, whose own experience of loss speaks to her bruised heart.
But afterwards, when she just wants to forget all about Daniel McIntosh she finds that’s easier said than done. After all, he’s the lead singer of Scoundrel, one of the world’s biggest rock bands. He’s also the reason for her missing period.
Now, having finally found her again, Daniel’s thrilled to be reunited with the woman he never forgot. There’s just one problem: Daniel doesn’t know he’s a dad. Can their relationship withstand him finding out? And, even if he can forgive her, will she risk her heart for a second chance at finding love.

"..... started it last night and couldn’t put it down except when work got in the way today. Certainly got the waterworks going tonight. I love a book that keeps me wanting to read just one more chapter and it did that from the beginning." ARC Reader

Featured Reviews
I received a free, advanced copy of this book from NetGalley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review. This is the first book that I have read by this author. One never knows what one will get when reading a new author and I was very pleased with this introduction. Engaging characters and a beautifully narrated compelling plot, made THE OTHER ONE, a pleasure to read.
Nine months ago, Jessica Jameson, lost her fiancee, Nick, her ONE, to cancer. With the pain of him gone, the vitriol from his mother, who never liked her, especially after he left her his trust find in his will, Jessica would have thrown herself off the cliffs of Brighton, but she had promised him that she would find a purpose to live and love again. Instead, she has been drowning her sorrow in Talisker, at the local hotel bar. Not in the mood for the after concert party, Daniel McIntosh, lead singer for Scoundral, goes to the bar and is immediately attracted to Jessica. Although she just wants to be alone, she saves him from some groupies and ends up in his room. He recognizes the pain she is in, as he had felt it 5 years ago, after his twin died and while allowing him to comfort her, she ends up in his bed. Feeling guilty, she runs off while he is asleep. He searches for her but can't find her and she finds out she is pregnant. The twins she is carrying, give her a reason to live and though she tries to contact Daniel, his manager keeps answering his phone and hanging up on her. Several years later, they meet again and get a second chance. He has not forgotten her, but is very angry when he finds out that he has children and missed out on 4 years of their lives. However, he realizes that she is the ONE for him and he wants to be her other ONE. There is a HEA, but a lot of heartache and drama before they get there.
