Description
This cowboy's handsome, sexy, and definitely off limits . . .
Walker Everett spends his days at the Crossroads Ranch wrangling cattle-and steering clear of anything that would complicate his already too-complicated life. Until Violet Chastain, the ranch's newest employee, asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend for her parents' anniversary party. She's the most beautiful woman he's ever met and needs his help. How can he refuse?
Violet isn't about to fall for a brooding bad-boy cowboy, no matter how sizzling their chemistry. But she also never expected Walker to go along with the charade. Before long, he's charming her parents at their weekly dinners and kissing her way more than necessary. Spending so much time together tests the limits of their "just friends" relationship, but what happens when their game of pretend becomes all too real?
Includes the bonus story Rocky Mountain Cowboy by Sara Richardson!

This series has been a wonderful one, and Hard Loving Cowboy is a fantastic conclusion to it. (Although, surely Jenna should get a HEA?!)
The writing is smart, engaging and witty, the characters incredibly easy to root for, and the story one that was a well-balanced blend of banter, sweetness, heartache and heat. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect of Walker, given his role in the Everett family, but I was just as charmé by him as I was by his brothers—and the sheriff. And as far as Violet goes, she was an absolutely delightful heroine.
Cowboys are my favorite kind of hero, and here Ms. Pine demonstrates (with the perfect amount of swoon) exactly why that’s so. I can’t wait for her next series.
HARD LIVING COWBOY by A. J. Pine is a thoughtful, sweet and fun story. I loved the characters and the way Vi and Walker meet! I could totally understand how being with Vi was such a refreshing change for Walker. Someone who didn't know any of his past exploits. I was glued to this story to the end!
A.J Pine "Hard Loving Cowboy" was a wholesome, heartwarming tale about opposites-attract that started off with a kiss. There was just something unique about this series that made it impossible not to finish it in one sitting. The way the author was able to mesh the characters together and not rush their bubbling relationship and pending romance won me over, and it was towards the end when they admitted their feelings for each other. I immediately loved the lead characters Walker and Violet. One hand you have a recovering alcoholic and another, the smart wine expert that dropped everything to help her aiding mother. Overall, a delightful read that left me wanting more.
This book had a great love story. Two people fighting to find out who they are, find each other and the sparks are undeniable. Walker is learning to live with his demons, when a spunky half French woman walks into his life and gives him the kiss of his life. They try to just be friends, but the chemistry is to much to deny. I loved both Violet and Walker and their families. Plus you can't forget Walkers Aunts attack chicken. I loved the depth of the characters and the book had a great flow. This was the first book I have read in this series but I will be reading the other books because I have to know how Walkers brothers got their wives. I definitely recommend this book, especially if you like a romance with heart and storylines with personal struggles
