Description
When Chance McCallister left her to join the Navy SEALS, Mandy Loomis was devastated. Now, more than ten years later, Chance and his brothers are back in town for their father’s funeral, but Mandy is no longer that moon-eyed teenager she once was. She’s a fiercely independent woman determined to solve her own problems—and she has plenty.
When her gambler father died two years prior, he left Mandy—along with a successful auto repair business—with a ton of debt owed to a ruthless loan shark. Mandy is barely getting by, and when her mechanic quits, she’s in a real bind. It just so happens, Chance is willing to help out. Sure, Chance is bigger, stronger, and sexier than ever, but Mandy isn’t interested in anything but his mechanical skills. Or maybe just a bit interested in his kissing skills—which, by the way, are just as good as she remembers.
Mandy wasn’t the only one brokenhearted when they were just teens. Chance never did get over his first love, and seeing her now only brings back those feelings in a major way. He’s grown up a lot since he left their little town, and now that he’s home, he’s determined to win back the girl he never should have lost. If only he can convince Mandy that he can protect her from the loan shark and his thugs, and that she doesn’t have to protect her heart from him.
But just as the two are beginning to realize they’re meant to be together, the loan shark makes things more than just a little precarious, putting both their love and their lives in danger.

Sweet second chance military romance!!!!
In another amazing book by Leslie North we get taken on a second chance romance. It was a nice surprise to read a book wear the past isn’t the entire book. Explanations are given along the way but not the entire content of the book. Instead we get an incredible love story.
"The writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating, the plot had so many twists and turns and none that I was expecting, and many shocking moments." Leslie North with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines that are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.
I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
5 Star reviews are not something I normally provide for novella length books, but SEAL’s Homecoming (first book in Leslie North’s new SEAL & Veterans series) has everything a romance reader could possibly want. Great world building, an interesting back story and the undeniable angst and sexual tension that comes when faced with a lover from a decade pasted and lingering unresolved issues.
Chance and Mandy are engaging characters with strong personalities and deep emotions and painful memories of what could have been. Their parting was wounding, and left much unexplained; but the time that has passed since Chance enlisted and deployed overseas has done nothing to cool the combustible connection that was always a part of their lively relationship.
I loved everything about this book and the characters were definitely portrayed to perfection. I can’t wait the read both Harris and Lee’s stories.
Mandy runs the garage her dad left her but he also left her a debt. He owed money to a loan shark and has to continue paying the loan until it’s paid off. Chance is a former SEAL and is back in town after his father passes away. He and Mandy dated in high school but she broke up with him when he left for the Navy. When Chance sees a man demanding money, he gets a job in her garage to keep an eye on her. Chance comes up with a plan to get the loan shark off her but he has to go undercover for the FBI and find out who the main man is. Action, sex, and second chance at love. Loved these two, they are meant for each other. * Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
A fabulous read, with great characters, an engaging storyline what a way to start a new series!! A novella length story that encompasses everything you want in a great romance. I love it and look forward to reading more
I really love Chance. He’s everything you’d want him to be and Mandy seems perfect for him. The fact that he kept her picture with him for 12 years is heartbreaking. Love a hea.
SEAL’s HOMECOMING kicks off the SEAL & Veteran series with a fast-paced second chance romance between onetime high school sweethearts who were torn apart by circumstance and a choice. Now, more than a decade later, Chance is back in his hometown – and Mandy is in serious trouble… and that old spark, it’s still there.
I had fun in Leslie North’s new world. The characters are engaging and likable, their history makes Mandy and Chance’s past and future blend together in an all grown up now way I liked Mandy’s independence, yet if anyone could help her in this situation it would be Chance.
If you enjoy a second chance romance with a touch of suspense and a likable couple with engaging secondary characters who will one day have their own tale told, then you’ll enjoy SEAL’s HOMECOMING.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
