Description
Romance and manga becomes one in Harlequin Manga!
Chessie’s father committed a crime to protect his family, but then he died. She was at a loss as to what to do after selling their manor, but Miles Hunter, a mystery novel author, gave her an option. He’d let her and her sister stay on at the manor as servants. But Chessie was unused to housework, and her hands soon became rough and her cheap clothes made her a source of gossip in town. Then Miles invited her out to dinner. He had been kind to her lately, so Chessie had started opening up to him. But his words at dinner surprised her. He has a proposal for her and she must make her decision on the spot!

This was my first of these books and the idea of a harlequin/manga hybrid was too hard to resist. This was a fun, quick read that I thoroughly enjoyed. The story was true harlequin style and surprisingly it fitted manga well.
The illustrations flowed well block to block. I particularly liked the visual for Miles, he seemed tall, dark and mysterious. There was a certain brevity to the story in this format but nevertheless it was still enjoyable as a quick, encapsulated read.
I would definitely read more harlequin in this format and more from this illustrator.
I voluntarily read an early copy of the book.

I enjoyed this manga, the story was good and the characters where wll fleshed out. I adored the sister and I even liked how the ex-boyfreind was complex and eventhough his actions wherent the greatest he eventually redemed hiself. The romance was good but a bit perdictable and typical. The onky thing I found to conveinant is how he was imeadiatly attracted to her or how he just happened to buy her home...like did he know who she was beforehand? Despite that flaw I would still recomend this book if you like romance Naga or in general.
