Great read. The author wrote a story that was interesting and moved at a pace that kept me engaged. The characters were easy to invest in.

I can tell by the first two or three pages if I'm going to like a book. But this book proved me wrong. I started reading, thought that I wasn't going to like this book....then suddenly I was sucked in.
I was taken to the dark side of London in the 80's. I was drawn into the world that was built as well as the characters. This also offered me something different. It wasn't your usual romance, with your usual conflicts. I couldn't stop reading this. I needed to know what happened next.
I will be looking for more books from this author.

The story brings you crime, revenge, attraction, some love too. Kate has been around Denny Brady since school days. Her brother gets into trouble with owing money to Denny's dad, Jimmy decides he can let the debt go if Kate marries his Denny. As the story develops and Denny is trying to decide can he trust Kate, their relationship keeps changing. Kate's friend Janey is there pulling her one way and the family closeness of the Brady family pulls her the other. The Brady family is moving away from their illegal ways to a prosperous legal life. There is much to learn from Jimmy and that is true for all of us along life's way.

I received a free copy of Seduction & Destruction by Julia Colbourn from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. You are married to a killer, a murderer, a gangster, how do you kill him?? Plan very carefully and be even more careful as to who you trust to help you plan. This is a well paced story based on 1980's London. If you were forced to marry to settle a family debt, how would you cope? This story pulls you in and keeps you hanging on to the end. A great read, with some unusual characters and twists that you don't expect. Read and enjoy it yourself!
