Description
My mother always told me that someday, there’d be hell to pay. I never believed her. Then I died. Morgane Burke is a survivor. Returning to Chicago to fight the monsters who killed her family might not bring them back, but it would go a long way in balancing the scales. Finally, those scales are beginning to tip in her favor. But a far bigger war is brewing on the shores of Lake Michigan, a war poised to sweep her up in its deadly grasp. Can she find the strength she needs to battle the demons within her, as well as the ones coming to claim her soul?

I really enjoyed this, great chemistry, fast paced thoroughly enjoyable read. Great alpha makes, kick ass heroines yes it’s not a new premise but this really well done and look forward to more.

This had a very cool and interesting concept and if you’re into Viking mythology, this might be a good book for you. The gods have been banished from Asgard to earth, and are fighting a war against Hel’s demons that are currently munching on and killing the humans on earth. They gods find out they’re not the only ones fighting demons when they chance upon Morgane Burke, who is trying to avenge the death of her family. Morgane quickly becomes entangled with Loki, in more ways then 1, and finds herself to be a pawn in a deadly game Odin is playing. The fate of earth and the universes in between are in Morgane’s hands since she must go to hell and back, literally.
This book has some steamy bits, an interesting storyline with cool players. The emotion though between the characters seems a bit forced though, it wasn’t as believable as it should be. That being said though, I’ve set my sights on the second in the series and am excited to read it
I devoured this book. Fantasy at its best! Great character development, good solid premise and good execution! I recommend it.
this was a good attempt at mythological heroes involved in average everyday life but it was not done properly.
