A wonderful introduction to new age/wicca/witchcraft/paganism however you see it or call it. This is a wonderful little book for the beginner, well organised, clearly explained and appealing in design and content. A great introduction and even a good refresher maybe if you hadn’t practiced in awhile
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
A very sweet little book full of some lovely ideas for spells and magical rituals to use for a million different reasons. Easy to use and nicely laid out. I’m off to buy a broom as we speak.
A very interesting and enlightening book even if you don't believe in the subject of spells. Great for beginners and well written.
I really enjoyed this book and found it very insightful about magic and practicing spells. It would be a great introduction into this topic and it was full of so much great information. I really liked how the book was organized as it made it easy and enjoyable to read. As someone who has an interest in these type of books I would definitely want this on my self as a good reference book. to look back on. The spells were all really interesting and ranged from basic to more advance which I really liked. Thank you to NetGalley and to Quarto publishing for a chance to review this book before its release.
What a gem! This book is sure to be a great resource for those interested in bringing magick into their lives. What I really liked about this book is that the spells are practical and easily doable. No long list of hard to acquire ingredients, simple, concrete instructions and right to the point spells make up the bulk of this book. The author does a great job in differentiating the days of the week, cycles of the moon, colors and steps to preform these spells. 10-Minute Magic Spells is a quick read and not filled with bias from a particular practice. Although the author does state her wiccan beliefs in the beginning of the book, she does not interject them throughout. I loved the wide range of basic information provided in areas such as tarot spells, sigil spells, amulets and astrological correspondence. This long practicing witch found some nuggets to add to her BOS and will likely find herself gifting this book to others..
A very good book, very useful for both beginners and more experienced users.
I like Skye Alexander style of writing and how she manage to deliver a clear and engaging book.
It's full of interesting ideas and hints.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
I'm so sorry but I have no way to read this book. It is an epub book and nothing that I downloaded works. I wished for this because I thought it would be a KIndle version. I apologize but from what I was able to view on other websites, this book looks adorable.
I am a newbie so this book was a great and easy introduction to the magic world.
I particularly appreciate the parts involving crystals and essential oils, with their different powers and uses.
A great introduction to the practice, easy to ready and full of tips and ideas!
Informative, easy to read, straight to the point - a great handbook for learning about the underlying ideas, tools, and rituals of magic.

Curiosity brought me to this book. Other than being fascinated with magick and practitioners, I have no other authority to provide a critical reference.
If you are a practitioner, this guide seems to have it all. It's like a little recipe book for magick with items you need to cast a spell and when you should do it as well as finding the right frame of mind. It covers a wide range of spells.
Thanks to Quarto Publishing for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really adore this cover. It's kind of ominous, but draws you in at the same time. It definitely feels a bit witchy. There are illustrations throughout the book that keep it engaging. The writing is straightforward without being condescending. It is broken down into two parts, and it strongly advises you read the first part before going onto part two where the actual spells are. It gives a great overview of what is going to be needed and what you, as a person, need to do to prepare. I, personally, haven't tried the spells though, so I don't know if they actually work. I would give this book 4 out of 5 stars. A great book for a beginner.
Sorry for possible English mistakes in writing!
Even for less then 10 minute one will be able to do some practical magical operations and to aply some of the ideas from this very lucid book! Even just by casual reading one will be able to feel some of the benefits from these occult spells. Very good book! Thanks to Fair Winds Press and NetGalley!!!
This was very interesting to me. I have no desire really to do any of these spells, but it was fun to read about what is involved. Very good for a beginner or just a casual reader.
10-Minute Magic Spells is much better than it's companion about crystal balls. This book takes a more reverent tone in dealing with the subject matter. It was a fun book to read and expand my knowledge while trying my hand at a little magic.
10-Minute Magic Spells is a quick, informative read about magic. It's perfect if you are new to magic and trying to incorporate witchcraft/magic into your life. As the title states- the book is full of plenty of exercises to perform simple spells and self-care practices whether it's for love, prosperity, health and well being or for good luck. The book starts off explaining what magic is and common misconceptions such as magic is evil, false and an illusion. I was intrigued by the title and I must admit a little skeptical- however, after reading the book I feel more informed and realize that I may have actually done some magic myself- I never would have thought of baptism, communion and/or prayer as elements of magic before. An enjoyable read! Thank you to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Fair Winds Press for an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
This is a very interesting book. It does go more towards the beginner but is useful even to the seasoned person. First thing you need to know this is not a book of card tricks and pulling rabbits out of hats type book. This is spells not tricks. I hate to call it witch craft but for back of a better calling thats what I am going to go with.
The book is broken down into 2 parts. The first part is very important especially for the beginner. It gives you the tools you need to make the second part of this book work for you. The second part being the spells themselves. Part one is the basics of magic, how to use it and how to get the results you seek, as well as special tools used by witches and wizards. Par 2 has the spells. These spells are made to fit into a 10 minute time frame. Some spells require more tools or items then other. More planning is needed as well. Others are little more than a basic candle and a chant.
The spells in this book are white magic. There are no spells to hurt an enemy or anything like that. The spells cover love spells, prosperity, wellness, and luck mainly.
As with any book dealing with spells. You do need to take it seriously.
I received this book from the Author or Publisher via Netgalley.com and chose to leave this review.
“10-Minute Magic Spells” by Skye Alexander is a wonderful collection of everyday spells. Love, protection, luck, tarot, candle and crystal spells are just some of the topics the author explains in this well written book.
It was refreshing to read a book where the author starts out with the basics in spell casting and a short history on magick. She then builds up the readers confidence throughout the book , to be able to perform a variety of life enriching spells. The author also includes several examples on how to create a circle before spell casting and the tools that you will need. The spells in the book were very enlightening, and easy to conjure for beginners. There are so many different magickal topics and charts for color use in magick, types of crystals and tarot cards to use in different spells and essential oils in conjuring, that this is also a great witchy reference book for everyday life. It was a pleasure to explore all the magickal information that the author, so graciously bestowed upon the reader. #10minuteMagicSpells #NetGalley

10 Minute Magic Spells by Skye Alexander is a lovely little book.
It consists of 2 parts. The first is an introduction to magic and the whys and wherefores of how to do it and with what tools. The second is the spells. These are as it says simple and easy to do following the instuctions from Skye.
Having read a lot of Esoteric books in the past I really enjoued this one. It was clear and concise. The author was very helpful with further reading links thoughout. This book would suit someone who is interesting in spell casting for the first time or as a great reference for those who already know the background and want to learn a bit more.

Rating: 4/5
I enjoyed how concise and to-the-point this book was. If you are looking for some quick spells to cast/want to get started with spells, this book is just for you! Being a practitioner who is being reawakened to the craft, I found it to be easy-to-follow and inspiring.
This read was good for what it was. I'm not so big on the get rich quick kind of spells but the concept and execution of the book was good. It's a good book for those dabbling with spells.
Eine etwas andere Herangehensweise an ein altes Thema.
Sehr interessant und recht hübsch aufgemacht.
Zum selber lesen und verschenken.
Thank you to the publisher and to Net Galley for the opportunity to read this book for review. My opinions are my own.
I highly recommend this book for all that are seeking to improve on their spell casting. The author has formatted the book into sensible sequences that cover each spell in its entirety. These are all white magic spells that anyone can easily use. I especially enjoyed the historic information at the beginning of the book. As a new spell casters this is the prefect book for me and one I will refer back to to create spells. The author includes list of ingredients that are sensible and easy to assemble Very well done to the author.
This was a nice introduction to magic spells for those who are unfamiliar with it and with quite a few spells. If one wants to go more in depth, I would find some other books, but at least it's a nice beginning.
