An incorrigible cat, a handsome vet and a very grumpy Professor, set against the backdrop of Cambridge and its colleges. Not a setup that I'm familiar with (although I do have the incorrigible cat and I'm told that I can be grumpy) but, non the less, I found this a story that I could lose myself in. Whilst Clara finds her way in life she has to balance her job in a small museum with an unexpected visit from her brother, whilst Casper terrorises the neighbourhood and scares away potential boyfriends. Well worth a read.

I LOVED THIS BOOK.

Ten Things My Cat Hates About You follows twenty-five year old Clara Swift and her romantic escapades as she stumbles through her twenties. Clara thinks her brother Freddie and her best friend Heather both seem to have romance all figured out, but feels that she personally can't get it right. It doesn't help matters that her cat Casper hates every man she brings back to her rainbow-painted house, and that she is still dealing with the death of her parents. The novel sees her date Casper's vet Josh, and befriend a professor in the museum where she works, as she tries to figure out love and everything that comes with it.

I adored Clara; I related a lot to her romantic, whimsical tendencies, and she was so full of life! Exactly who I aspire to be in my twenties (cat included). Her fashion sense, her approach to her career, and her tendencies to fall too fast all made her lovable, and I was rooting for her and Adam the entire way through. I read the book in a few hours and could not put it down. Sometimes you just want a fun rom-com, and I can't imagine a more perfect rom-com than one that involves cats, professors, and a whimsical narrator. Will 100% be purchasing a physical copy to support Lottie when the book releases. Amazing!

Clara cat Casper never likes any of her dates. In fact she has had to buy new trousers for her last date. As Casper scratched him!

After a heart to heart with her best friend Heather, Clara thought well if anyone is worth having. Casper will like him. So from then on Casper was in charge of her love life.

So when Casper purs and warms to vet Josh, Clara begin to think well maybe he is the one.

Adam was out cycling home when he swerves to miss Clara cat. He ends up injuring himself.
The next day he was at work when suddenly he found a woman on his lips. And papers all over the floor.... he recongises that woman...

With both men wanting Clara affections who will she end up with?

Wow this book is my new favourite romance book! I am not into romance as they tend to be the same but this book was different.

The title was the first thing that intrigued me. My daughter loves animals and this remind me of her. I can imagine her when she is older with many cats.

I found this book so funny and entertaining. Even laughing out loud at times. It has been a while since I have found a romance author who can make me laugh.

I did find the ending predictable but there were a few crazy and funny stories tucked in to make it worth reading.

Definitely add this book to your list!

This book was cute, quirky, and really fun. Sometimes you just need a romantic comedy in book form to make you feel better because life can be so heavy.

Casper the cat might be my favorite fictional cat of all time. Clara was a great heroine and even though the premise seemed ridiculous, I ended this book with a smile on my face and I can’t wait to see what this author will write in the future.

You know when you read a romance and you get all warm and fuzzy and have this goofy sort of smile on your face? Lucas' novel is ideal to get your mind off of things and your heart fluttering.

While romcom is not typically the genre I delve into, I am obsessed with cats and really wanted to give this one a try! I expected some comedy, snark, and sneakiness from a cat hell bent on hating the new man in town. What we get is an angsty cat named Casper who, unfortunately, causes a bike accident instigating a meeting between Adam and Clara. Clara is smitten immediately and runs several scenarios through her head on happily ever afters. Unfortunately he couldn’t pick her face out in a crowd if asked until a second meeting ends in a kiss. Clara brings Casper to yet another vet and meets Josh: the warm and compassionate new vet who believes he can handle Caspers spunkiness.
The book reads like a “dear diary” of a teenager not used to attention and not being able to grasp the nuances of of adult relationships. She plays around with one guy while missing the cues of the other one actually wanting a relationship with her. She believes she’s in a relationship that was never a relationship and almost ends up alone completely.
The cat has little to do with the actual storyline except when she uses the cat to describe her own feelings by playing them off as things the cat dislikes.
Overall the book is a good read and easy to get through as long as you can reminisce your own teenager angst to relate

I'm looking forward to recommending this book to readers who enjoy a fun romantic comedy. This one is as good as comfort food! The characters are charming, the setting is interesting, and the cat is hilarious.

**Thank you to netgalley and harper Collins for this e-arc**

If you’re a cat lover then this is up your alley. A dose of romance and humor mixed in along with the perils life does offers, this story can make you laugh and perhaps swoon over this cute love story. Even if a feline can judge someone and just know when they like someone or not. Even if Casper is shown and mentioned a few times, this story is something that you don’t want to miss out if you are into a romance comedy.
