Description
The Guitar Face Series, Book 4
Kip Paxton may be the perfect man. He's a sexy, tattooed, foul-mouthed, drummer god for Broken Access, and if that wasn't enough he’s snagged the Guitar Goddess herself.
But in life, where one door opens…another closes, and sometimes the other door bursts wide f@$king open.
Finding out he’s been lied to his entire life—and that all his noble deeds were done in vain—sends him spiraling out-of-control. The secrets suck the life right out of him.
This time Henley and Kip’s entire crew will have to find a way to put him back together again before they lose him forever.
This book is not a stand-alone novel. Books 1-3 in the Guitar Face Series should be read first. If you are looking for a story of redemption with comic relief and a heavy sexual tone, you've found it. If you are offended by hot, tattooed rock stars, who are vulgar then this is not the book for you. Please be warned, this book is not for anyone below the age of 18. The book has sex, death, violence, and harsh language.

On Broken (Guitar Face, Book 1)“Sasha Marshall created a true-to-life rock-n-roll world that makes you want to quit your job and go on tour with the gang! The friendships are so real, the characters are well-developed, and the music is more than a passing reference…Marshall's characters are complex, flawed, and interesting—and that leads to trouble. The book ends and leaves you aching for more. Happy to see this is only the start for this addictive series! 5 Very Emotional Electrified Guitars” —Backstage Book Blog

Kip Paxton...yes please. How could you resist a hot tatted rocker with humor that is off the charts? If he doesn't leave you busting a gut with laughter he has you fangirling all over his ass playing drums for his band. What else could you ask for? Oh, maybe that he can leave you very satisfied in the bedroom as well because he also has the sexual ability to take you to places that can only happen in “normal” peoples’ minds; that is unless you are linked to a rock star who knows how to treat a woman, put a smile on her face, and be loyal as a St. Bernard!
This is Kip’s story and I knew going in it would have to be hilarious because Kip is the kind of guy I would love to hang around with because the antics of Kip is unparalleled....the sh*t he can’t think of! Add that to the rest of the group of friends and bandmates these guys are ridiculous. Their little escapade in the drug store is hilarious.
It wasn’t always fun and games for Kip because he grew up being abused by his father with his mother looking on. His only salvation came from the Hendrix family when they took Kip in and made him one of their family. Kip and Henley have been best friend since childhood. They had the kind of friendship that would last a lifetime. It was Kip who was there for Henley when she and Caleb had their car accident that took Caleb from them and it was Kip who was there as Jagger was putting Henley through hell during their volatile relationship that threw Henley into drug abuse that nearly killed her. It was after Henley was able to get herself together that she realized that this friend who had always been there for her could also be her soul mate. It was easy at first to look past something that was right in her face the whole time…the love that she and Kip had for each other. Would this relationship end up wrecking their friendship and tearing their two bands apart? It would seem impossible since both bands were at the top of their game and the friendship that this group all had since childhood seemed as tight as any could be. Who knew that along with all of the fame and fortune Kip’s past would come back full force to rear its ugly head and affect the happiness he had finally found with Henley, his friends, and his music.
Ms. Marshall’s writing style is like none other because she can take you to the highest high and then take you to the lowest low. I have done full out belly laughs because the humor that Ms. Marshall writes with is incomparable but don’t keep that Kleenex box too far away because she also writes with such sadness and despair that saying I have done the ugly cry doesn’t even come close to describing what I have done in parts of this book.
Yes, there are other rock romance books that I have read and given 5 stars to because they are really, really good but the Guitar Face series stands out above them all. I have never felt more invested in a group of people and I hope you give yourself a chance to follow this group to know what the laugh out loud moments are all about along with the heart wrenching feelings you will get with everything that happens to them as well.
An excellent romance, well written, engrossing and entertaining.
I loved Kip, couldn't help rooting for him, as he's a fleshed out characters as the others.
The book was fun to read and I hope to read other books by this author.
Highly recommended!
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.
This was probably my favorite in the series. The character development was perfect and plot was excellent. I highly recommend.
Shut the front door! She's done it again! I haven't binge read a series like I have this one in ages!
This series has taken me through a whirlwind of emotions. This book was a lot darker then the previous ones but just as good and engaging. We are used to seeing Kip so bright and cocky so it was hard to see him so broken which in turn had a knock on effect with everyone else. I actually gasped at the end of this book. Love that the endings always leave you wanting more and now I'm desperate for the 5th book to come out. Keep them coming I'm loving Guitar faces and I'm still routing for team Kipley!
