Description
We’ve got some important things to talk about. It’s time.
Cass and Loll used to be inseparable. They met at university and they made sense, like two halves of a whole. They had planned their lives around each other, writing down their dreams in The Big Book of Our Life – the things they wanted to achieve, the places they’d go after they finished university. But then one night changed everything.
Seven years later, Loll receives a letter from her old friend. The coming year will be the year they both turn 30, but Loll might be making it to 30 alone. Cass has cancer. Loll had believed she would have her whole life to come to terms with Cass’ betrayal, but time is running out. Cass’ final wish is to complete The Big Book of Our Life, but has enough time passed to heal old wounds?
The Book of Us is a story of the complexity of forgiveness and the friendships that change our lives forever. Perfect for fans of Jodi Picoult, Jojo Moyes and Diane Chamberlain.

My first book by this author and one I thoroughly enjoyed!
Cass and loll were best friends for what felt like ever until they fell out dramatically one night!
6 years later they are back in touch, trying hard to forgive and forget and rebuild the easy close relationship they had in the past! This is no easy task and their friendship is tested to the hilt, especially when they find their big book of our lives written many years before and now using it as a bucket list of things to do and see together with cassies daughter Veronica, over time as cassies illness progresses and loll and cassies relationship develops once more we are taken on an emotional and poignant journey as cass prepares to leave this world entrusting her most treasured daughter into lolls care, sensitively written poignant, heartwarming and uplifting.
Thank you net galley for this early read.
This is a lovely book. I enjoyed the relationship between Cass and Vee very much. I liked the way that we learned about Cass and Lauren and their previous relationship as we journeyed with them in the present.
This book was never going to have a 'happy' ending, but I thought it concluded well.
There is a cast of characters that bring depth and warmth to the story, some we like, some are villainous. It's a light, easygoing read that will appeal to many people.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publishers for my copy of this book.
I truly enjoyed this book. It was an emotional read. two friends trying to get past a betrayal with an innocent child and an illness that truly tested their ability to forgive and move forward. I would highly recommend.
