An entertaining read, although needs some editing work on this, it was an interesting read about friendship, survival and moving on. I thought the story and themes were really good, a book full of inspiration and hope, a little work with editing and it would be even better.

The Hidden Crown was an enjoyable read. Having the main character not know who and what she really was turned out to be a good twist. At times I felt the story was a bit rushed, but not rushed to the point where it was missing information. I liked how the main character Sarah/Eliza evolved. Sarah was a timid and quiet character who always did what she was told and sort of a social outcast because she was academically gifted. After finding out the truth, Sarah evolved into Eliza, a born leader. Eliza is a take charge kind of person who wants to right the wrongs and wants to make a positive difference in her kingdom. After standing up for what she feels and believes in, she finds herself in love with someone she cannot be with. With the turn of events towards the end of the book, I can't help but wonder if love will prevail or will she end up with someone she doesn't love.
The Hidden Crown is the story of a teenager who feels like a misfit and then suddenly finds her way to her true home. Where she discovers her family, and. her true identity.. While falling in love along the way, I enjoyed the story, but I definitely felt it could have been longer. I look forward to reading the next one to see how the story progresses.
A YA fantasy story with mystery, drama, angs tand romance.
Saran/Eliza doesn't seem to fit in her family.
She discovers that she is from a different realm.
There she discovers who she really is along with her true love.
But things happens and everything is not working how she thought.
Good story.
Overall I enjoyed the storyline, could it have been more- yes but it was enough for a short young adult book. Yes, there were some editing errors that could have been fixed easily but this did not detour from enjoyment of reading the book. I liked the journey Sarah had to go on and despite finding her true path, the road is never easy. The one thing that made me not really get into this book was the fact that she was a fairy, but then this was written with magical realms and creatures in mind. Her story will continue in another book and it will be interesting to see how the now Eliza will manage her new found role. Good for the young adults, lovers of fantasy.
it was an enjoyable read, the characters were great and i enjoyed the plot in the story. Overall it was a good read and I enjoyed the author's writing style.
A strong female lead with a hidden identity, a story with plenty of magic, and a sprinkling fae? Yes please! I love how Sarah doesn't know her real identity, and is just trying to survive life in a less-than-ideal family situation. Sarah is a great lead, and we get to watch her change and grow as the story progresses. Levi was great, and comes into Sarah's life at just the right time. I would've liked more time to explore the fae realm, but overall the story was enjoyable.
