DARK PALACE is a poetic, panoramic exploration of global violence reminiscent of severed nerves, disconnected from war and violation. The traumas come in waves: the bombed Buddhas of Bamiyan, the Iraq War, movie stars at secret parties, a passenger jet downed, Syria in ruins, the global refugee crisis, and the birth of the Dajjal. Each poem transports the reader into surreal mirror worlds.
