Catana Chetwynd continues her Catana Comics in Snug: A Collection of Comics about Dating Your Best Friend. Due for a timely February release (Valentine's gift anyone?), Catana's adorable art style and relatable comic panels are just as enjoyable in this collection.

I have been a fan of Catana's webcomics for quite some time and her simplistic visual style makes for such an aesthetically appealing yet accessible product in all of her works.

So excited to read anything this author comes up with!

I used to see these comics online all the time and have always had a special place in my heart for them. If you're looking for a sweet slice of life, this is it. Obviously, as the description and title suggest, the "main characters" of the comics are a (presumably long term) couple, and their exploits are just simple things that anyone in a couple can identify with. Sometimes romantic, sometimes funny, sometimes just painfully accurate, each panel is beautiful in its simplicity.

This is a quick read, but definitely one you could come back to repeatedly.

Thanks so much to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for letting me read and review this wonderfully fun, entertaining and adorable comic.
My husband introduced me to these comics by Catana Chetwynd a while ago because they are so similar and accurate at describing us and our relationship with our quirkiness and everything.
It's a quick, light read full of cute, quirky and very relatable comics with simple, yet fun and great drawings as well.
If you haven't read or checked these comics out, you really should. They are so entertaining, quirky and full of adorkable cuteness between two best friends.

This was so cute! I just kept screenshotting and sending them to my husband. If you’re in a relationship you will find this so funny.

This graphic novel is so cute! It's a collection of short comics all about Catana, the artist, and her boyfriend John. You can clearly see how much they love each other and the comics are lovely.
This book is going to be published at the beginning of February and I honestly think it would make the perfect Valentine's Day's present for your significant other.

Snug is the second collection from Catana Comics, one of my favorite comics creators. I love the sweet, relatable comics Catana creates, and love sharing them with my boyfriend, as they are often very similar to our relationship. This would be a great gift for an anniversary, other special occasion, or just as a little reminder to your special someone that you love them.

Thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC!

Sweet and real. I was able to identify and swoon over so many of these adorable comics. They depict my marriage to my best friend in such a cute and authentic way. I enjoyed this so much because it is so honest. I have done so many of these actions with my spouse and even if he is annoyed by them we both smiled while paging through these comics. I want this in a desk calendar!!!

I just read this with my husband and I love how relatable the comics in this are. they are absolutely adorable as well! Reading them makes me feel so seen and tbh I love that feeling! I can't wait for everyone to get their hands on this and just see all the cute little drawings!

I never get tired of Catana's comics, and this collection was just as adorable as I expected it to be. My spouse and I always love these because we feel like they're so very us. Honestly, nobody nails "relatable" humor quite as well as Catana does when it comes to cute, casual couple stuff!

If it tells you anything about how much I loved this, despite being the sort of person who almost never pre-orders finished copies of comic collections, I ran off to pre-order this the moment I finished my eARC because I needed it for my shelf (just like I did with Catana's last collection, which I reread often, and fondly ♥). I absolutely recommend picking it up, especially if you're in a long-term relationship and can relate to the cute, goofy things comfortable couples do with each other.

Thank you so much to the publisher for providing me with this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I love Catana comics and follow the author on Instagram. Most of these comic strips were new and not previously published online. Each comic strip is relatable for anyone in a relationship. Feel good, heartwarming stuff. I saved most of them to show my other half that 'it's not just me' or 'not just us' or just to put a smile on his face. Hope there are many more to come from Catana.

I love when these comics pop up on facebook, and love the book even more. One cannot help falling in love with Snug. Catana, these are wonderful, and bring joy into a world when it needs it most. :-) Thank you!

Oh, I had no idea that this book was happening. I previously enjoyed the first book very much but for some reason this art sort of disappeared from my facebook. In the past, it used to flood my feed but thinking about it; I did not see one in a very long time.
So, I was a bit surprised, seeing this book, since I did not hear any news about it being published.

And you can bet that I almost knocked over my laptop trying to open it fast enough.

Overall I was very pleasantly surprised! Since these comics stopped showing on my facebook, I can say that I knew only three before reading this. And trust me, it made it just so much better!

What I love about these is that they are super relatable; it just seems like my life, it gives me the illusion of normalcy. What can I say, my limbs are currently cold, and I'm hungry — the story of my life. At least I'm not the only one suffering the same fate.

This was a wonderful surprise and with a puppy as a bonus! What's not to like?

Every time I see one of these comic strips on my social media feed, I always pause and have a read. It’s relationship goals. So having them all compiled together is perfect for someone like myself who needs hope that the one is out there.

This second volume, collecting the popular and adorable "Catana Comics", is full of cute, relatable, and fluffy comics based around the artist's relationship with her boyfriend. Together, they enjoy cuddling, food, and supporting one another. Relationship goals are met and exceeded as Catana and John easily read each other's expressions to know when it is time to leave the party and go home to make brownies, revel in weather-cancelled plans, and cuddle to balance Catana constantly being cold and John constantly being hot. A perfect gift for newlyweds, a significant other, or just anyone who loves love, "Snug" is a delightful book that will leave you with a smile on your face.

Another gem of a book. I just love how I could relate to so many of the pages. Found myself nodding my head in agreement so many times. It was such a great book to just savour and enjoy because the story being told was so heart warming and loving

Thank you to Netgalley for giving me the chance to read and review, "Snug" by Catana Chetwynd. I truly loved these adorable comics! I found a lot of these relatable to my husband and I. This book perfectly captures what life is like with your other half.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for this early copy!

I was not surprised when I read Snug in one sitting. I enjoyed Chetwynd's first collection of comics. I believe that I liked this one even more. I find her material relatable and easy to read. I recommend checking them out, 5/5 stars! I just wish it was longer!

I love Catana's daily comics on Instagram, and Snug is a perfectly named, cozy little comic book full of intimate (and silly) moments between partners. The art is very simple but wonderfully cute that anybody will be able to relate to - in romantic relationships, or in platonic friendships! This would make a great gift for someone you care about, and I look forward to what's next!

My heart is so freaking full. I love the brand-new comics and the previously-posted ones equally, and I really enjoyed the mix of single-panel scenes among the classic four-panel setups. I said in my review of her first collection that all I wanted was some scenes of the doggo, and my wish was granted!

This collection had me grinning basically the whole time I was reading it, and lamenting how very single I currently am. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not ready to mingle and generally fine with it — but as always, Catana and John are adorable, *hashtag goals*.)

Super cute quick relatable read. I recommend it for anyone that enjoys Catana's other comic collections/strips.

I have been a big fan of Catana Comics for a few years now so I couldn’t resist getting this book. I loved the last book so I knew this one would be just as good, and it did not disappoint! I relate to almost every one of these comics. It’s like its me and my husband in all of them and I love it. These comics perfectly express how relationships are and are so relatable. How can you not love them?

I cannot recommend this book enough! If you are a fan of comics I really suggest you read this, especially if you are in a relationship.

Snug: A Collection of Comics about Dating Your Best Friend

I Picked Up This Book Because: I’ve seen random comics by this author on social media and was interested in the book.

The Story:

These little bug eyed cuties have stolen my heart.. And maybe part of my personality. These illustrations are cute, true and would make for an excellent coffee table book. I hope this author continues to illustrate her truth.

The Random Thoughts:

5 Stars

4 / 5 stars!

Ohhh, this was too cute and the perfect cozy read as the colder months approach. I first found Catana’s comics a few years ago, when her boyfriend posted one on Reddit and it was a hit. Since then I have sent SO many of her comics to my now husband said “look, it’s us!” - to which he normally replies “wow, it’s like she has a camera in our apartment!”. It has been a joy to follow Catana Comics on social media and watch as her comics have developed and improved over the years.

This was a feel good collection with a nice mix of old and new. I had to keep calling my husband over to look at them. Catana nails the day to day life of being in a long term relationship with your best friend. Some people might find them corny, but I find them wholesome and relatable. <3 Perhaps my only complaint is that I wish it had been a smidgen longer, but that’s mainly me being greedy and being a Catana addict.

This comes out early February and would make a fantastic gift for an SO, long time married couple, or newlyweds!

This book of comics is absolutely adorable! It contains individual comics on each page that illustrate sweet everyday moments between a couple. I read this in one short sitting and smiled from start to finish. I definitely recommend to anyone who needs a pick me up.

This comic was so adorable that my heart melted. I loved it! The drawing style is awesome and so smooth.

Catana does the most adorable couple comics. Her comics are all so wholesome and cute. This book is easy to read and digest and that lends itself to easy re-readability. This is the kind of book you can keep on the coffee table to enjoy whenever you need a pick-me-up or have a few moments before leaving the house.

Really cute and funny like the first book. I could definitely relate to the main character and sometimes could see my boyfriend and I through certain scenes.

I adore Catana comics. I'm so glad she is coming out with a second book! This collection of short comics continues the adventures of Catana and John in such a fun and relatable way.

4.5 stars.

Catana Comics always put a smile on my face. Catana Chetwynd has a wonderfully simple style that allows the little moments to be highlighted in a way that is intensely relatable. This collection really is as snug as the title would indicate, and it's made for some wonderfully light reading. Snug is the kind of comics collection that has you pestering your partner to be like "hey look, this is US."

I'd recommend Snug for anyone who is already a fan of Catana Comics, or to anyone who enjoys short slice-of-life relationship comics.

It was so fun, good, relatable and entertaining! I love her style, her little stories, it was so cute!
I would certainly recommand it to you! And I'll definitey buy her other works!

Snug by Catana Chetwynd is a super cute collection of comics. This collection is relatable, funny and very cute.

Snug is so stinking adorable! There were so many parts that reminded me of my relationship with my hubby now, as well as great reminders of how we were earlier in our relationship - which serves as great motivation to reclaim some of those old ways and habits. I love the simple art style and how very relatable each page is. I can't wait to add a hardcopy of the book when it comes out so that I can share it with my hubby. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

This was a very cute book. I haven't had a chance to read the first book by this author but that did not take anything away from it.

Having been with my best friend for 14 years I easily relate to almost every situation the author depicts. The drawing style is very simplistic which allow for a quick and easy read, except for when you can't quite make out what they are doing in the whipping scene. However, it did give me a laugh when I finally figured out what he was doing to her.

There isn't any character development but that is usually the case with this time of book. It is more like random snap shot of life and not a novel with a developing plot line. I think it would have been nice to have some sort of very lose plot-line to make the ending more satisfying and less abrupt.

Overall, I thought t was great and I would recommend it. It was clean so you can even recommend it to your friend without coming off like a weirdo. :)

Oh how I love Catana and her comics that just ring so true and close to my heart. I don't know what else can really be said.

Well, except I was pleasantly surprised to see she has her own compilations! My faves are getting published in book format!

Loved this one. Super relatable for those short girls with tall boyfriends and people in relationship in general. Very cute and easy to read because of the comic style.

I’m a big fan of Catana’s Instagram account, and this book did not disappoint! Some of her comics are a bit too romantic for my taste (I prefer the quirky ones), but her voice and humor come across so expertly in the art and text that I can’t help but enjoy them anyway.

Catana was writing about her relationship in this comic book, but why does it feel so relatable? It gave me the biggest smile, and I'm now bugging my boyfriend to read the book so he'll feel the same.

I have been following Catana Comics across all my social media platforms for what seems like forever. I like, click, and share with almost all of my friends and family. A modern-day woman's Normal Rockwell is what I call her. Its a mix of heartwarming realness, laugh out loud goodness, and a love that shines through.

Though the themes bring the heart, its the endearing way Catana draws her beloved characters that combine it all to make magic. I am forever a fan.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the authors previous book. A lot of it was super relatable and such a fun read.

I have been wanting to read something by this author for such a long time and I´m so happy I finally did. I adored this book! In reality there isn’t truly anything outstanding about this book, it is just a comic about love, dating you best friend and what it is like to be in a loving relationship but to me, that is perfect. For me, the best part is that it is super relatable, I could picture my boyfriend and I in all of this scenarios and I even texted some pictures to him just because of how relatable they were.

I adored this book, it is so adorable, and to think that it is based on the author and her boyfriend just makes it 10 times more cute. I love the simple art style and how even with few words it filled my heart.

I don’t have anything else to say other than READ IT, because it is truly worth the read. You will smile non-stop!

Catana Chetwynd's comics on being in love with your best friend is nothing short of wholesome and sweet and never fails to leave me in a good mood. Life with a long-term partner in its many little moments are captured in snapshots in 'Snug'. Probably a great gift for someone you're having similar moments with.

How I read this: Free ebook copy received through NetGalley

This is incredibly cute, as Catana comics always are! There were quite a lot of new ones I hadn't seen in this collection, and I really enjoyed it. So did my boyfriend, as we were reading it together!

I thank the publisher for giving me a free copy of the ebook in exchange to my honest review. This has not affected my opinion.

Welcome Back!

I am super excited to be writing this post! It's a little outside of my usual but I am here to talk about Snug a book of Catana Comics collected. This is the second book of it's kind and I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this in exchange for an honest review. Something I have not really shared on my blog is that I love Catana Comics, these cute little comics are something my spouse and I have shared with one another for years now. A lot of them apply to us ( so they are super relatable) but also they are super cute and fun to share with each other. So when I got this ARC on Netgalley I was incredibly pumped and I knew exactly how I wanted to read it. Reading this book was a little different than I have ever done with any other book, I snuggled up on the couch with our kittens (though they did not stay very long, they had kitten things to do apparently), and my spouse. We looked through this together and it was a super sweet fun time!

The comics are super cute and lovey as always and were done in the usual Catana Comics style. There were a lot of comics in this particular book that we found funny or my spouse or I would point to and say yupp, or yeah you do that too. If you have not checked out a Catana Comic yet you can definitely do that online on their Facebook or other social media outlets but also you should check out their books! I am definitely going to be purchasing this second book to just have around to share again with my spouse at some point in the future. On Goodreads, I am rating this five stars.

Cute, funny, sweet, endearing. "Snug" is all those things, and certainly feels like an antidote for the turmoil and cynicism of today. However, I think it's best served in small doses. I think reading a comic a day (rather than the whole book in one sitting for a review) is the way to go.

Thanks to NetGalley for providing an AC in exchange for an honest review.

On occasion, I'll see little comics from this illustrator on social media. I never think much about it other than the humor and how relatable each one can be. I didn't even realize that there could have been a collection until I came across Snug. Each page had brought something different that everyone can relate to. I have enjoyed every comic that was presented in this collection and I can easily imagine everyone else will as well.

Snug is yet another collection of the adorable comics created by the one and only Catana Chetwynd. If you haven't seen any of her work before, go ahead and google Catana Comics. Trust me, it's worth it!
Catana Chetwynd's comics have always had this sweet and endearing feeling to the comics. And that's one of the reasons that her comics have become so popular. They're cute and personal, covering the sweet and content moments.
And okay, it also shows off how silly two people can be, when they've found their person. We all get a little bit silly around our partners, thanks to not feeling the need to maintain a filter. And Catana Comics has always shown that off quite nicely.
Snug is a collection of some of these moments. They're playful, silly, and sweet. Sometimes the comics alternate between those emotions and moments. And other times they're a blend of all three. No matter what, they're a blast to read.
And fans are Catana Chetwynd will want to check this collection out, as not only does it put some of our favorites into print – it also has a bunch of new comics as well. In fact, there are fifty new comics that never made it online. And that alone makes this one worth checking out! It helps that the comics are everything I was hoping for, being a perfect fit for her series as a whole.
As always, I loved each and every one of these comics. All of them were fun or quirky. And more than one of them made me laugh and confess that I have in fact done exactly that, while in a relationship. And that's pretty cute, if I may say so. I imagine most readers feel that way.
This was another great collection from Catana Comics. I'm looking forward to seeing more of her work in the future!

I love Catana comics! Little Moments of Love is still my favorite, but this new collection had many great scenes in it as well! This comic will appeal to YA to adults who can relate to the silly antics of a relationship. Adorable! If you follow Catana comics on Instagram, you will enjoy this collection!

This was sooo super cute!! I've always loved Catana's comics so this was really fun to read all at once!!

Cute, loved the little vignettes about the author's relationship and how relatable so many of those moments are when you're in a long term relationship.

Similar warm fuzzies to the original Catana collection. This one seemed to have fewer comics that were personally relatable to me, but maybe that was just my mood, or the ARC format being distracting. There were definitely still a few I really loved, and I recommend for any fans of Catana, or really, anyone dating or married to their best friend.

Content 'warning' is pretty much the same as the original too: there's really no actually content, but with minor cartoonish nudity, a brief reference to blood/murder, and most of the humor being in the context of adult relationships, this would likely not be appreciated by younger readers.

Thanks to NetGalley for giving me a chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

I read this in one sitting, so much fun. I loved the first the book so I knew I needed to read this. This graphic novel shows the little things that matter in a relationship and does it in a very cute art style. This made me smile and laugh through out the whole entire book. Definitely going to buy this for my collection.

This was insanely adorable. I loved the illustrations. I was already familiar with these two from comics is seen in social media. A whole book centered around their relationship was cute. I felt like I saw myself in so many of the comics. This is what relationship goals should really look like.

What is there even to say about Catana Comics? These sweet comics have been in my life and bringing me immense joy since I first saw them around two years ago, or so. And they are not only adorable, but so relatable. Sometimes I feel almost attacked with how much my fiance and I relate them to our own relationship. Socially awkward? Wants all of the pizza? Nothing but cuddles and no pants? Attacks their partner with all of the kisses and weird reactions? I feel you, girl. Especially during the year and a half that my fiance and I were long distance - we sent these back and forth to each other daily, and they always made us feel closer together, and definitely helped us get through that time. So I knew going in that I was going to love this.

This is a very quick read, as each comic is only a few panels on a page, so I just read through them all in about 25 minutes. I would highly, highly recommend this to absolutely anyone. It is funny, and sickly sweet, and I guarantee that every single person will find at least one (likely way more) that will make them smile!

"Snug" was just as adorable and feel good as Catana's previous book "Little Moments of Love." Her simple drawings partner perfectly with the comics; they accentuate the stories without tons of extra backgrounds or unneeded props. I was worried that the comics wouldn't be too original or that they would be too similar to the previous book but each comic was original. I can't wait to see her next collection whenever that may be.

I have been watching Catana's journey with John for a while on Instagram and was thrilled with the book. I had to read it as soon as I saw the review copy available here. Warm & fuzzy as Huff Post puts it, the panels are relatable and makes you go awwww at every turn. Snug by Catana Chetwynd is like a hug from your childhood teddy bear when you are feeling low.

It was so cuuute and really accurate. I love her comics because I find a lot of similarities with my (our) life. (But I think, I'm not the only one.)
The comics, some of them I already knew, but there were some totally new ones, and I looooved them. We were sitting with my boyfriend reading and laughing on each of the pages, because it's so us. :D
Thanks for the opportunity to read. :)

This was a cute and wholesome book. I really enjoyed a lot of the comics and feel like anyone in a happy long term relationship can relate. Some of them seemed a bit 'look how quirky we are!' to me and I thought that was a bit annoying. Overall it was a cute and quick read.

I loved her comics and this one was even better, deeper in some case and also terribly funny because I still remember how were the first weeks/months, but it seems she was able to make it last longer ;)
Looking forward to the next comic book!

THANKS NETGALLEY FOR THE PREVIEW!

This is super cute and so full of love and understanding! How will I ever not love Catana's comics.... I am invested for this lifetime.

The comic style is a bit less attractive than the first collection I would say. Otherwise the art sequence and everything works out fine.

As it is just about the couple, it becomes a bit monotonous and a bit repetitive.
But you know what? It is just amazing and sweet! It was difficult not to feel super single while reading this.

I enjoyed it a lot. I see lots of potential in the upcoming collections. I cannot wait, Catana!

Thank you #NetGalley for providing an ARC of this amazing comic collection #Snug

This is another adorable, funny, and relatable collection of comics. Perfect for couples to read together. I have enjoyed everything this author has written and look forward to reading more.

It's amazing how much can be said in four to five frames with little to no words at all. Catana Chetwynd perfectly achieves her relationship with John through simple, highly Instagramable bits in this adorable book. Each comic is four to five panels long but somehow manages to fit so many relatable emotions and actions into such a cute little square. In its entirety, the book is absolutely adorable. Having followed her on Instagram, I kind of knew what I was getting into, but this collection exceeded all expectations. Catana manages to take the mundane day-to-day of modern relationships and packages them into the perfect quick read. A perfect gift for those you love or a great pick-me-up for yourself, I cannot recommend this book more.

I absolutely LOVE Catana Comics! It's like looking into a mirror and seeing my relationship with my husband reflected in these pages. Due to be released in February, I'll be sure to purchase a physical copy for my love for Valentines Day!

Thank you for making this a 'Read Now'! I had so much fun reading this! Firstly, the drawings are just tooooo adorable! This comic is so so relatable! The 'snug'gles are real, the hand-in-the-same-mitten is just too cute, the this-comforter-fight is so so real, staying-home-in-winter-and-order-all-things-online is so us (I'm married but everything in this book is something we both can relate to!), and oooo 'reach for your toes' scene made me laugh out so loud that I had to show it to my other half, and it brought a smile to his face LOL I'm definitely getting this book for him on Valentine's Day!

This comic is so-so good. Deserves to be read over and over again! Definitely a perfect 5 (which I rarely give!)

Thank you for Andrew McMeel Publishing and Netgally a free eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review! All opinions are mine.

This collection of comics shows the many moments in a long term romance. Moments of frustration, silliness, affection and more. Chetwind's people, with their large, round heads and big goldfish eyes seem a little odd at first, but this style works for her. She successfully portrays the range of emotions needed for this strip, which reminds us all of what we love about being in love.

I really like Catana's artwork. Her comic are so cute and very relatable. This was fun to read and put a smile on my face.

Catana's comics are sweet, charming and funny. A lot of them remind me of cozy moments spent with my spouse. I would highly recommend this comic.

Cute and touching. A great gift for an anniversary. Chetwynd captures all of the silly mundane things that make a relationship great. The little, nonsensical ways we say I love you and the lived realities of a relationship, like stealing the covers. A delight.

Cute slice of life comics, some humor, some serious notes, pretty adorable. Not a fan of the artist's style for people, mostly because John's facial hair and eyes made me think of goldfish, and that's all I could see after that, which caused me to constantly think of them as goldfish pretending to be people and not people. That's my own issue, but it was distracting for me. I did read some of Chetwynd's work online, but it wasn't something I kept going back to. I did enjoy this and think others will enjoy the nice normalcy of the novel.

I’ve followed these adorable comics on social media for as long as I can remember. They make me smile and giggle because of how relatable they are.

This is an absolute PERFECT gift to your significant other and such a sweet way to show your love and have a good laugh

I've loved Catana Chetwynd's comics for a number of years having seen them around the internet on various social media platforms. This collection brings together all of the warm fuzzy feelings I get from seeing her stand alone comics. Her interactions with her boyfriend and her dog are ridiculously relatable, some of which make me laugh out loud. I don't know how many times I've given my fiance the side eye as I hand him my phone to look at one of her comics only to have him nod sagely in understanding. Yes, I do that, the nod says, guilty as charged.

It will be a great day when I can have this book in my hands to flip through and smile over. Wonderful work, as always.

Look, it should be made clear I love anything Catana does. I have her first book and I adore it and I plan on purchasing this one upon release too because I collect physical copies.

I do have a boyfriend and I do feel like we relate to these comics heavy but I'm pretty positive even those without a significant other would enjoy these. They're completely adorable and make me smile and make me feel happy and they're original and always on point.

Loveee.

Review to be posted on my blog/goodreads in January 2020.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review~

A brand-new collection of sweet and relatable comics by Catana Chetwynd! I was so delighted when I spotted these on Netgalley. YES! YES! It's been almost 2 years (wow) since the last book so I was very eager to get more!

In this one we see more hilarious, fun, cute, adorable, and a lot of relatable comics by Catana. We see how she is stopping her boyfriend from shaving as she loves his beard, stares and giggles when he undresses (which I recognise as something I do as well, and yes I also say more, or well I say it in Dutch, close enough), we see how she moves around in the bed while he just stays on the same spot, I had a big laugh at her clinging to him when he has to leave the bed (my hubby has to get my limbs off him at times as well), just like her sometimes you just need to hug your loved ones to feel better, and there is tons and tons more and I was just smiling with each of them. I just love seeing this couple together. See them interact, hug, and love each other. The hearts are just floating out of the comic.

And oh, so that is why when you pass through doors/doorways you lose what you wanted to do, it just gets stuck and bumps against the wall above the door!

I have to say that I am still a bit doubtful about the big eyes, but I do love the art in the general. It is quite a fun and cute style.

All in all, another fun and relatable and sweet and perfect for the end of the day when you need some extra love book and I would recommend it.

A cute, feel good graphic novel.

Anyone who has ever been in a relationship will find much of the content so relatable and that will bring a smile to your face.

The illustrations are sharp, clean and adorable.

Would make a perfect gift for a partner on an anniversary or just to show you are thinking of them.

I had seen Catana Comics floating around the internet, which is initially what made me reach for this book. The comics, depicting Catana and her partner, are heartwarming, hilarious, and so relatable (even for a singleton like myself). I can't wait to share it once it's published. I personally find myself gravitating to comics when I'm looking for a palette cleanser between "heavier" reads, and this suited my mood perfectly. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an advanced copy of this book!

this is literally my fav comic for couples! I follow her on facebook and this book was just as good as every comic you see out there if not better. if you are obsessed with your partner then this book will make you laugh out loud and you realy need this book as a print out because screen shot to show your loved one is not the easiest task! Dating is ugly ad funny and this book shows all the relatable images of love and life.

I LOVE CATANA! I really like the art and I see myself and my boyfriend in it, so you can imagine how much I was excited when I could read this thanks con Netgalley.

But. I find it really difficult to give stars to these collections because I love one and something doesn't work for me on the next page.

Recommended: Yes!
For fans of her comic series, for anyone who's been in a relationship (though maybe more of the younger generation for some), for a heartwarming read that will make you smile and happily sigh

Thoughts:
Ahhh, what's not to like?? 😍 To address that missing fifth star, it's due to the abrupt ending. It's a series of comics, so maybe that's somewhat expected, but it would have been a smoother ending if the last one had been something with them going to sleep, or going home, rather than just another general one. The ordering of these could have been tweaked for a more comprehensive effect of their developing relationship.

That aside, they're all so cute! Her simple art style and simple language reflect the ease of being with your chosen Someone after the initial phase of worry. The world "relatable" is thrown around a lot, but I truly think it's impossible for someone who's been in a healthy long-term relationship not to see themselves in at least one of these comics. If you haven't, use this as a guide. It's really for anyone, attached or not, so long as you like sweet moments and smiling. 🥰 Some comics will be more familiar to younger generations, with mobile ordering, technological references, and recently popular fads like tiny plants and weighted blankets, but it all depends on the kind of person you are!

The amount of times I laughed out loud got to the point where my Chosen Someone stopped asking what I was laughing at and just smiled instead. THAT'S a good sign!

Details about the book:
- YES, there are brand new comics! If you follow her, you'll still have ones you haven't seen before. 50% of them are non-released brand new ones, according to the book details!
- The art style is the same as her standard; no surprises there!
- The formatting in the ebook works out fine, so it's a viable option if needed, though I definitely recommend getting the physical copy for that additional joy of holding a book and seeing the smooth pages ^.^

Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel for alerting me to this book's existence and giving me a free ARC to read and honestly review so I didn't have to wait until February to delight in her original comics!!

Catana never disappoints with her adorable, cute, heart warming comics. Her and John are literally #couplegoals and I don't know what else I can say!

Everything that's drawn in these comics is something everyone goes through in their life. It's not anything extremely unique or anything like that. But I guess that's what also makes it so special? Like, I never tire of reading catana comics' comic strips because they're like the best, most wholesome slice of life pieces ever and I love them!

Thank you so much, Netgalley, for this ARC! This was so great!

I've followed Catana Comics for a long time on Instagram so I was very excited when I saw that there's a book coming out. I love her art style and the little vignettes into her relationship which funnily enough is a lot like the relationship I'm in. It's a perfect representation of being in a loving relationship with someone who is not only your partner but your best friend who you are (for the most part) on the same level with.

This collection is a fun read that would make almost anyone feel warm fuzzies and put a smile on their face. If you're looking for something that will be uplifting and cute, pick this one up.

Snug by Catana Chetwynd is a graphic novel full of mini comics about the mundane life of a couple. The comics are relatable and funny, offering a slice of life into a typical relationship. All of the comics are black and white. Some of them were extremely short, about two boxes on a page. While the point of these comics is to be a short slice of life, it felt at times that the author used a daily struggle or situation in multiple comics. I did find this book to be extremely endearing, especially because Chetwynd's inspiration stems from her real-life relationship. This book is a good book to buy or give if you're looking for something cute and lighthearted, but realistic. It makes for a nice and short read. Overall, I did enjoy reading this novel and the illustrations were cute and easy to look at.

Catana Chetwynd's new comic book, "Snug" is a humorous look at falling in love with your best friend. This comic book is a quirky, funny look at modern love with all the weirdness and the wonderful parts of love in the 21st century.

The illustrations are fun and beautiful, the various scenarios are totally relatable and you can read the whole book in one sitting. It is also a fun book that you could come back to for a reminder of why you love your partner over and over.

Snug: A Collection of Comics about Dating Your Best Friend by Catana Chetwynd

4 stars

Snug is a collection of comic strips from a famous webcomic artist who focuses on making cute strips about her and her partner’s relationship. She and her boyfriend have been the chuckle of many shared Facebook posts. At least that’s how I become familiar with her comic strips. When I saw the book was available for review on Netgalley, I jumped at the chance to check it out. Y’all, this book was CUTE. The comic strips are funny and sweet. There are times when I couldn’t stop laughing, but there were also times when all I could say was, “Awe.” I recommend this collection if you are fan of Catana’s comics or if you just like reading feel-good stuff. I tend to read and gravitate towards darker novels, so this was a sweet palate cleanser. Some of my favorite strips were the fortune cookie, the leftovers note, lost in conversation, I want pasta, when I’m cold, telling a story, and there were so many more I enjoyed, but I won’t bore you by listing them all. Go check the book out for yourself!
I have also never related as much to a comic strip as I do with the “Why did I come in here?” strip. That was so relatable.

Art Scale: 4

Whimsical Writing Scale: 4

Cover Thoughts: Super cute and it fits the comics so well.

SYNOPSIS | As the title states, this comic collection focuses on the day to day aspects of dating your best friend.

MY THOUGHTS | I loved Catana Chetwynd's earlier comic collection (Little Moments of Love) and this one was equally wonderful. She does an amazing job of documenting the day to day aspects of some of the quirky elements of a relationship and some of them hit the nail on the head so much that I found myself chuckling along and shoving them in my husbands face to laugh with me. I especially connected with the one about the fortune cookie predicting a lifetime or back rubs, the lying down on the bed during the getting ready process and healthy eating after eating a pizza.

I am a huge fan of Catana Comics and this collection is no different. Her work is just so relatable. I found myself pausing every couple of pages to show my husband this one, then that one, usually echoed with a “oh we have done that”, “yup, that’s true” and an occasional “damn has this woman been watching us, as this is just how we act!” I think she has just captured how great it is be in that kind of loving relationship. Her own intro to this collection says it best

We hope that reading this book brings a smile to your face and maybe even a quick “look” in the direction of your significant other.

It certainly did being a smile to my face and I am sure it will for all that read it. If you are currently building your anticipated reads of 2020 this one should be one it for sure. It comes out the fourth of February and would make an excellent Valentines gift for someone special too!

My boyfriend and i have followed Catana comics for quite some time now, and we always find them humourous and relatable, we are always saying their relationship seems similar to ours. This book lived up to my expecatations and gave me the same warm feeling i always get when i see Catanas comics, full disclosure i'm already biased and have even purchased one of their calenders as an anniversary gift before.

This book is extremely wholesome and adorable, i could easily imagine grabbing a coffee, or getting comfy on the couch, and going through this with an SO seeing which comics you relate to the most! it reminds you of all the great parts of being in a relationship.

I love Catana’s art style and can relate so much to her comic strips. I always tell my husband “it’s like we’re connected” because we’ll have just done something or said something and Catana puts out a comic of John and her dealing with that particular thing! Her comics always bring so much joy to my life.

I first saw snippets of Chetwynd's comic strips on social media. They stuck to me for quite some time. So when I saw that they were going to be compiled into a book I knew I had to get my hands on Snug.
Just like the snippets I saw, Snug is adorable, quirky, and relatable. It definitely brought out the romantic in me. The relationship was not depicted as a fairytale. Instead it showed how two people in love see past each other's flaw and cherish their time together. With all the mushy gooey goodness Snug has to offer, it brought a smile to my face and long for such unadulterated love.

First of all, I want to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have seen some of Catana's comics around, so I was very excited to read this book. The illustrations are cute, I like that they are rather minimal and black and white. The book is made up of adorable little moments in Catana's and John's relationship. The thing I probably liked the most is how supportive they are to each other.

I really enjoyed this collection of Catana's comics. This was a very sweet, adorable, feel-good book that reminded me of my reading experience of Adulthood is a Myth by Sarah Andersen because both books are relatable and fun to read.

I haven't read Catana's first book but now I really want to!

I read Catana Chetwynd's "Little Moments of Love" not too long ago, so when I saw a new comic collection on NetGalley, I leapt at the chance to read it immediately. This was totally a one-sitting book, but one that I can definitely go back to again and again. Absolute gem!

The thing about Catana’s comics is that they’re really cute and they’re really relatable.

Catana and her fiance remind me a lot of me and my boyfriend, which never fails to make me smile. In fact, this comic below is us on a daily basis.

As I was reading, I kept calling my boyfriend over to look at the comics. This is such a great collection. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was that I’d seen a ton of the comics on Instagram already, and I’m sure by the time the book comes out, even more will have been shared there.

Overall, this was an adorable collection of comics and I don’t think a day will come when Catana’s comics don’t make me smile.

As I said before and will continue to say it, works published by Andrew's McMeel will always strike a chord in my heart!

I love how adorable this book was! The comics are quirky, hilarious and so cosy. It is an enchanting portal into the little moments in a relationship! This book is truly something any reader will enjoy whatever their relationship status will be as it focuses on how every moment is relatable and something that we should learn to cherish! If you are with the wrong person, it also sets things down into perspective as it shows that somewhere out there is a person just as weird as you are!

I loved this book so much as it provides a deep insight into how beautiful a relationship can be!

Rating: 5/5 (Is there a way I can give this book more than 5?)
Recommended: Whether you are single or in a relationship or married or its complicated, this book is a perfect read as it shows the joys of a right relationship in the tiniest moments possible!

I absolutely love these comics! They're not only adorable, but they remind you of all the cute interactions you've had with your loved one. There have been many times that I have forwarded one of Catana Chetwynd's comment to my boyfriend because it reminded me of us. I will definitely be buying a copy of Snug for my coffee table, as well as a few copies for friends.
Something to take into account - it might be nice if Catana could release a more diverse book of comics. I understand that these are Catana and her significant other, but more diversity in the comics will in turn create more diversity for more fans to enjoy :)

*I received an ARC via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thanks for the free comic book.*

The title already describes what this collection is about: "Dating Your Best Friend" or rather, being in a relationship with your best friend. I've been with my partner for more than eleven years now, so I could very much relate to many (but not all!) things. Chetwynd manages to capture the little things that make a relationship worthwhile, the emotional comfort, the trust, and the little weird things one does. Some other things could also be true for non-romantic relationships, for example, I feel very much elevated by the faith my friends have in me when they cheer me up.

So this was really cute. If you want something (heterosexually) wholesome, check it out.

4,5 Stars because I missed the representation of the harder parts of keeping a relationship going, the fighting, the negative stuff, you know what I mean.

I love Catana Chetwynd's comics. I've read lots of her comics individually on line and I read her first book as well. This was another great collection of some really cute comics about her and her husband.

RATING: 4/5 STARS

This collection of comics is adorable - Catana and John's quirky dialogue and mini adventures will put a smile on your face. The art is simple with clean lines and a unique style. I read an electronic form but I'm sure the print form will be beautiful. I recommend this if you're looking for bite-sized cuteness!

Snug was the most absolutely adorable comic I have read. I didn't have very high expectations, but even just a few pages in, I knew I was going to adore the book. I found it heartwarming and sweet, as well as really funny. I admit it was cheesy, but I'd be lying if i said i wasn't smiling through the whole thing. This would be such a cute gift to get for the person you're dating, as it is super relatable.

I've been seeing Catana's art a lot in different platforms, and I have loved a lot of the comic strips I've seen so when I saw there was an ARC of her newest book on Netgalley I had to ask for it. Snug is great book filled with cute comic strips that depict every day moments that I'm sure a lot of couples have experienced. I really loved a lot of the illustrations.

Snug is to be adored. The art is lovely and eye-catching, and is used as an integral part of the storytelling work. A book to cuddle with.

Cute and relatable, especially the ones about snuggling and food. Happy to read these in a book, not just in pieces online.

This collection of comics has some really funny and often realistic entries that make you either laugh out loud or go "hey, that's me!" Mixed in are saccharine comics that unless you are in a relationship, you either don't get or appreciate.
Overall, this a nice collection of Catana Chetwynd's works.

Snug: A Collection of Comics about Dating Your Best Friend is the adorable, sophomore comic collection by Catana Chetwynd. Inspired by her own relationship with her boyfriend, each strip is a funny, relatable glance into life when you are in love with your best friend.

Heartwarming and sweet, I found myself laughing and smiling to myself as I was reminded of my own experiences — telling each other you’ll diet after one more pizza night, fighting over the covers, being “upset” when plans are canceled due to inclement weather and you have to stay in.

There were only a handful of strips I didn’t find as funny, and I know this is because I just couldn’t relate to the illustrated situation. Snug was still a wonderful collection, and would make a sweet and funny gift for a significant other!

Thank you #NetGalley, for the free eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Just too cute! I've seen these comics all over social media, and they just warm my heart. They're so simply done, but that doesn't mean that the stories don't come through. If anything, lack of extra and pointless details makes the story, the point of each comic, shine through even more. I love that there is a comic that speaks deeply to all different people. By that, I mean, each individual comic may not resonate with each individual reader, but there will be one that you'll come to and say "Oh! SAME! This is so me/us!" I absolutely love the relate-ability of this book. I loved it!

Snug is exactly what it says on the tin, a collection of comics about dating your best friend. It is at time funny and at times adorable with a few highly relatable comics about those annoying things that your partner does.

I really enjoyed reading these comics and wished that there had been more to enjoy. I will definitely be seeking out more from Catana Comics in the future.

Super cute comics about life with/being in love with your best friends. Totally adorable and relatable.

Oh my god! This book was so freakin adorable!!! Every page was so cute. The art is so simple but I feel that's what makes it even better. Such relatable content, I feel like anyone who reads this will have a wee giggle because they know they are guilty of some of these things. As you can obviously tell I loved this book and cant wait for it to come out so I can buy it!

Catana Chetwynd's comics are always charming and endearing, and this collection is no exception. Most of the comics within will be new to readers, even those who follow Catana on social media. With her big-eyed avatars of herself and her fiance (as of December 2019), John, Catana's new book is a tribute to the sort of moments that when you're in the moment you might stop and think, "I'm happy right now," but then forget in another five minutes. These are sweet slice of life comics illustrating the often unsung moments in a relationship when things are just right.

People who are in relationships will probably find themselves wanting to nudge their partner and call their attention to tender or silly moments Catana has captured which remind them of aspects of their own relationships, or even portray actual conversations they've had verbatim. The majority of these comics are about being in a relationship, like it says in the subtitle, so for those who are not in one or who are not feeling mushy right now, this might be a bit much to take all at once. Nevertheless, I found it charming to read and appreciated the moments where the comics normalized quirks and foibles without overly glorifying the Manic Pixie Dream Girl trope (although with so many comics about the relationship all in one place, that thread becomes a bit more vibrant than it usually is reading the comics online as Catana produces them).

The art style is a little different to the first book, but readers who have been following along on social media will not find it particularly jarring. The art is still black and white with a few red exceptions for hearts and grey shading to indicate darkened rooms. The characters retain their resemblance to Fischer-Price Little People (if anyone remembers those), and in a few instances (like the comic with comic lenses) even acknowledges the silly proportions.

An almost disproportionate number of the comics centered on Catana's perpetual chilliness and John's constant warmth, and although these still brought a smile, in a collection like this the thread did stand out a bit more, just as with the instances where Catana is Manic Pixie Dream Girlish. Aside from that, though, this book would make a really great Valentine's gift with it's February 4th release date (which I'm sure was no accident), but also a great gift for multitudinous other occasions, including "just 'cause" gifts. I'm kind of hoping my boyfriend buys it for me, anyway.

Catana Chetwynd is one of my favorite cartoonists. With her comics, she portrays daily situations in a humorous way. I often recognize myself in the short -drawn- stories. It's nice to see how she uses her relationship as inspiration. Especially since the bond between her and John is more than just love. They clearly have a strong friendship. This makes the comics not only relevant in romantic relationships, but also for friendships and family.
Her way of drawing is simple, but it speaks volumes. Although the comics are black and white, I always feel like they are drawn in color. This gives the reader the opportunity to have a personal interpretation of the drawing. However, she does add some color details. Such as red for a heart. Text is not always necessary to express emotions. The artist absolutely proves that with this comic.
The comic shows a lot of positive and cute sides of a relationship, but also the daily irritations are discussed. In the future, however, I would like to see some comics that also reveal the negative aspects of a relationship. Not every relationship is pink and moonlight.

Title: Snug

Author: Catana Chetwynd

Genre: Nonfiction, Comic, Graphic Novel, Romance, Humor.

Plot: Snug is a special word that accurately describes that comfortable feeling you only find in loving long-term relationships. And this book, Snug, is a celebration of that word and those feelings and those long-term relationships we are so comfortable in.

Catana and her bearded John are comfortable, loving and in a steady long-term relationship with spots of humor and fun to keep things perky and interesting. These calming black and white illustrations show life at its fullest with just the right amount of reality for spice.

Likes/Dislikes: My sister and I both follow Catana Comics online and like to send each other our favorite snippets. Now I have to find the books and send them to her. This is the second Catana book and I really enjoyed it. Some of the comics were my favorites I have already read and some were new to me. I would've liked more original pieces but I think that is just because I want more Catana and John doing cute things together.

Rating: G-12 and up.

I have seen quite a few of these comic strips before online and always enjoyed spotting myself or my husband in a few of them. When I saw this upcoming collection available I had to read it.

It is a relatively short collection and an equally quick read and the content is very 'cutesy' as well as realistic. I would not recommend this to those who groan at such displays. Some of them very a little repetitive (in this collection) and that is probably the only reason I am not giving this a full five stars. There were so many that I had to randomly disturb my husband in the middle of his work and say "look, look" which was actually almost the same as one of the comics. Each comic is very few panels and a lot of them show you how similar a lot of relationships out there are, in a good way!

It was a good evening spent well and if you like the idea or have seen any of the author's works before you should definitely pick this up.

I received an ARC thanks to NetGalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Unfortunately I was unable to read this book. I tried multiple devices but it caused all of them to crash, no matter how much I persisted. It is a shame as I did manage to see the very first comic, and I thought it was absolutely adorable, so this definitely would have been a book for me.

Adorbs! Once again, Catana Chetwynd has created a love filled comic detailing her every day life with her boyfriend, and once again I related to a lot of it! Now I just need a second couch so I can push them together for movie nights...that looked so cozy!

My only teensy tiny complaint: I know it's called "Snug" for a reason, and I do love a good cuddle, but I found all the snuggling comics repetitive LOL. More diverse content, please!

I love these comics so much! I don’t have a boyfriend but they’re still so relatable and this is honestly the kind of relationship I’d want! The art style is super simple but still manages to show enough for me to know what's going on, even without the text.

This is a fast, yet adorable and often relatable read. The collection of comics depicts little snapshots of living life with someone you love in a healthy manner. I enjoyed my time spent with it! There were quite a few individual comics that made me laugh or even want to show someone who could relate to how living with me or being around me is just like that! Definitely recommend flipping through this if you need a boost in mood!

I was so excited to see this book listed as I didn't even know that there was a book written about it. I have loved this comics since I first saw them about a year ago. They are so cute in the way that they are drawn and the
interaction between the two characters are things that I have seen multiple times if not between me and my husband, than between other couples that I know. It makes it very easy to relate to as a reader. Each comic deals with usually a very simple act, and they usually make me chuckle and smile. Very great read and if you are a fan of the comics or just want a cute light read that will lighten up your day then this is one book that you won't want to miss. The only downside I have to this book is that it isn't long enough, however no matter what the length of this book was it wouldn't be long enough because I just can't get enough of these characters. If you have never seen these comics before then I highly suggest that you check them out.

In this second collection, Catana Chetwynd once again opens a window into the little moments that make up a relationship. The comics remain brief and simple, focusing more on the affection and humor that go into loving your best friend. Each one shares moments presumably experienced by Catana and her other half John, and yet even the most quirky gives insight into loving moments readers have probably experienced as well. They are adorable and relatable, and I giggled more than once. In fact, I'm smiling just thinking about them now. I only wish there were more comics! Looking forward to picking up a copy to go with my Little Moments of Love, and sharing them with my own husband.

I've always loved looking at Catana Chetwynd's comics. So when I saw this book offered up on NetGalley, I knew I needed to read it. Snug is an adorable collection of comics that show the fun and weird things that couples experience. It's a book that will make you smile, think fondly of your significant other, or wish you knew that feeling.

The artwork is beautiful and simplistic. It's exactly what you would expect from Catana Comics. This book would make the perfect gift for Valentine's Day.

FYI if you're single, this book will make you feel it.

This is so CUTE! I laughed, I smiled and yes, I did send some snapshots at my boyfriend (he wasn't with me, so I couldn't look at him lovingly while reading this). It's so adorable, and I was totally seeing us in some, but I also saw my brother and his girlfriend in others. I am completely in love with this book. I will need to buy a physical copy of this one, to read it again and again and again!

Catana Chetwynd's Snug: A Collection of Comics about Dating Your Best Friend had one primary effect on me: I wanted to immediately go snuggle with my wife. These cutesy comics about Catana's life with her boyfriend are relatable and honest, capturing the joyful, simple domesticity of two people in love.

Many of the strips deal with typical issues of domestic life: sharing the blankets, negotiating over cleaning duties and dinner, making time for each other. The overall tone is of a couple full of affection for each other, who love to snuggle in bed or on the couch, and whose favorite place in the world is at home together. Not only is this their favorite place, but it's their place of recharge, sanctuary, and mutual support.

Be warned: if you don't have someone to share life and snuggles with, this little book will create a longing for the kind of mutual love that Catana and John share! If you do have someone, well, this isis a great reminder to cherish your time together. The art is simple black and white. The characters have huge eyes that make them look like frogs or fish or something. Even though I didn't really like the appearance of her characters, Chetwynd's tone and themes more than made up for it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the complimentary electronic review copy!

Thanks NetGalley for the digital copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first contact with this author's work and I absolutely adored it. This collection of comic feels so real and relatable, even if you never had a long term relationship, since it gives us that feeling that even if you're the most peculiar being, you will find someone just like you :)

Plus, I loved that the art reminded me a bit of manga stories, because of the big eyes of the couple, and still, it felt very realistic. I liked it so much that now I am very interested in reading Little Moments of Love, the previous author's work and I hope to get to it as soon as possible, since it seems to have a very similar style.

If you're looking for a fun, fast pacing, cute and light read, this is surely for you.

This was an adorable portrayal of John and Catana's relationship. I am a big fan of Catana's and follow her on social media. However, I wish that there was more of a story line instead of just cute little clips. I also would have wished for more new comics that had not been on social media. Overall, it was a cute fast read that was heart warming!

I have insomnia and read comics to help me fall asleep. Catana Comics are always a good choice because they’re sweet, relatable, and funny. “Snug” is no different. The art is adorable (especially the way their eyes stick out of the sides of their heads like goldfish...it doesn’t sound cute, but it is. Trust me). The book reminds me of what I appreciate in my own relationship, and any time I put a book down feeling happier than I was when I picked it up, it’s a book I can recommend.

I also appreciate the art and think that I am very gravitated towards the cuteness that is displayed.

A sweet, gentle little collection of comics chronicling the life of the author and her boyfriend, adorably doing everyday things. As usual with webcomics-turned-books, it would have been great to see more of a narrative arc, but what's there is cozy, fluffy and adorable.

I fell in love with Catana Comics a while ago, because my friend and her boyfriend were constantly posting them to each other on Facebook. I was so excited to find out there was a book collection now, too! That gave me a lot of lovin' all in one fell swoop.

They really are an adorable couple. And while sometimes it gets quite mushy, and sometimes it feels like Catana is literally too attached to her boyfriend a lot, you know that it works for them. And if you've ever had that kind of relationship with your best friend, you will totally get just about every aspect of these comics.

I am not sure which one is my favorite, because I loved so many of them. I know I loved the ones about them sharing their love of food, because in a real relationship, you're not worrying about looking bad when you're eating. I love the little pranks they play on each other. And then anything to do with the animals or staying home together. I don't know, I could go on. It's just a great collection. And if you're not in a relationship like this, it gives you something to aspire to.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for fulfilling my request for a review copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've been following CatanaComics on Instagram for a while now! I saw this book on NetGalley and thought to myself, I'd love to read this!
Every single comic is depicting personal moments and stories which are so cute and definitely relatable! The protagonist of these strips, is a couple in a long-term relationship and ultimately every single theme they show is either romantic, funny or very realistic. The sketches are so simplistic, yet so detailed with little frowns or smiles. All in all, this is a book that can make anyone's day, so even out of curiosity check it out!

You can go through it in like an hour or two, but it's a book you'll definitely come back to! If you're looking for a gift for some loved one, I'm pretty sure you should keep this as an option!

Catana Chetwynd perfectly captures the everyday moments in a relationship. (Once again, my Goodreads review is too succinct for NetGalley.)

I received an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Let me first say that I adore these small comic collections and they always tend to put a smile on my face.

I love the simplicity of the art style in this series and that while it is more simplistic it still gets across the feelings and emotions it's going for. I found as I turned each page that the situations the two are going through are very relatable and made me realize that even when I have felt like a situation has made me feel alone others have gone through the same thing. It was also fun to see the different dynamics in their relationship and see similarities and differences in my own experiences.

In my opinion it is really hard to review and rate a comic collection especially since the only theme in this seemed to be love and being with your partner. Overall I really enjoyed my experience reading this and found myself smiling and nodding along. If you are looking for a cutesy comic collection about being in a relationship then this is definitely a collection for you.

Catana Chetwynd has such a cute art style and great sense of humour. I'd seen her work on Twitter and her website before reading this collection of her "dating her bestie" comics. Such a cute look at her relationship with John. Full of random slice-of-life moments. A fun and adorable collection!

I've been following Catana and her work for a very long time, and I truly cannot get enough of her humor and art style! True to her brand, Snug is full of simple, albeit unbelievably adorable, illustrations that range from pure wholesome fluff to down-to-earth mundane realness. Her comics never fail to bring some sunshine into my day, and I cannot stress how much I enjoyed flipping through the pages of Snug.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for her succeeding comic collections!

It’s funny because when I read Catana’s previous graphic novel, Little Moments of Love, I wasn’t really a graphic novel reader. In 2019, however, I read a loooot (Saga, anyone?). As a longtime followers of her Instagram account, I was looking forward to her latest graphic novel, Snug.

I love love love Catana’s art style. It’s simple, but cute. She sometimes adds colour or shading to emphasize something specific in a panel. It’s just quirky and cute, and it lends itself to the tone and theme of the book overall. The big heads and large eyes are so stinking cute it’s impossible not to smile or laugh.

The content itself is relatable and adorable. Too cute for words. If you’re awkward, love food and naps, this book is for you. It is heavily focused on her relationship with her boyfriend, but there are comics just about her to balance it out nicely. It’s a sweet, light graphic novel that made me laugh and smile in equal measure. That’s probably why her work is so successful.

One thing to note about this collection is that the comics have previously been posted on he Instagram, so if you follow her there you’ll probably recognize most of them. I kept wondering why it seemed repetitive, but really it’s just that I’d seen a lot of them before. As long as you’re okay with that, and want to own the comics or gift them to your partner, then this won’t be a problem. Overall, it’s a quick read sure to bring a smile to your face.

I like the author's drawing style very much, it is one of the fortes of the book in my opinion. In this book we could see the quirks of being with a partner. As written in the blurb, there is 50 percent new content (would have been better if it was 100 percent...). Since I have not read anything previously from this author - nor do I follow her on social media as I like to look at these drawings in collected form - it was not such a huge hindrance to me, but others might find it a little annoying, even as a rip-off. Other than the used content, I do not have problem with it, the drawings are cute, everyday scenes that most couples experience from time to time. The main character is relatable.

Catana Chetwynd is great at portraying the romanticism of little things and "Snug" is for those who, like her, see beauty even in the nonsense of everyday life shared with their loved one.

The B&W art is very simple, and the great merit of this book is to make us recognize ourselves in it. I didn't read Catana's first book, but I can say that this new one follows the same line as Philippa Rice's "Soppy", which is cute.

As I said previously for Catana's 'Little Moments of Love', Snug is a heartwarming chronicle of her life with her best friend/love. I can easily swing between he cynical and the magical, so reading such comics always helps me ground myself in the magical.
It also leaves me with a hope and yearning for a love like that. In any case, this definitely goes on my coffee table soon!

Hola

I LOVED THIS COLLECTION! I have been following Catana Chetwynd's webcomics for a long time, and I was simply thrilled to hear that she was getting a book published. These comics are beautifully wonderful, and relatable and they just melt my heart. I love them! I can't wait to purchase a comic and read it with my husband.

A huge thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I greatly appreciate it!

This book is just filled to the brim with adorableness and you can't help but smile while reading it! I always see Catana's comics on Instagram, so I was very excited to hear about this collection. Her art style is so cute and it works so well with the theme of the comics. I saw myself and my boyfriend in sooo many of these comics and just felt so happy. You can see through her comics that Catana and John's love for one another is so real and so pure and it just melts my heart! This is the book equivalent of being wrapped in a fuzzy blanket and drinking a nice cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows. You can't read this without feeling cozy and warm inside because it's so lighthearted and sweet. This is the type of book I know I'll come back to anytime I'm feeling sad and need a pick-me-up! Bonus points because dogs are featured in the comics too.

Thank you so much Andrews McMeel Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book!
