Description
Summer is here, and down in Cornwall Lorna's holiday cottages are fully booked. The sun loungers are lined up beside the swimming pool, the sky is blue and a new set of arrivals are on their way... Em's planned the perfect break with her teenagers plus her new boyfriend, George... but now his difficult six-year-old is coming too. Will their romance survive the realities of parenthood? Maggie's hoping a seaside holiday will bring her and her daughter closer together, but when her ex makes a surprise reappearance, it changes everything. Can she trust the man who broke her heart? Olivia has escaped the domestic grind, only for the past to catch up with her. Maybe the time has come to confess all - if she can find the courage... Meanwhile, the teenagers are running wild and love is in the air. With friendship, heartache and secrets in the mix, will this holiday turn out to be a scorcher - or simply too hot to handle?

This book follows three women Em, Maggie and Olivia. All women with very different personalities and with vastly different current life statuses and journeys to be had.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was unable to put it down. I dont think I have ever high lighted so much in a book before. In saying that I will not lie and say it was all for good reason.
At the start of the book I found some of the writing didnt quite flow or make sense to me. There was one particular paragraph that switched between first and third person POV which was weird because I didn't pick up on that happening again in the book at all.
Another thing was one particular line that seemed to be reused numerous times throughout the book which did get annoying as I felt something else just as interesting could have been used in its place after the first use of it was made.
Other than those minor qualms I enjoyed the writing and there was some really beautiful stand out lines in it for me.
The biggest thing I took away from this and that I really enjoyed was the relatability to these women. Although all of them being so different to each other with dissimilar problems going on i felt like I connect to each one of them for different reasons.
Although it was a nice light read there was still good twists and turns in the story that gave it that drama to keep you hooked in.
All in all this was a great book that I highly recommend and I will definitely be picking up another book by this author soon.
