Description
After a breakup from hell, Jackson Young's demons are taking him out to party in this darkly satirical novel from down under.
Six years ago, Jackson traded nights-out with his mates for nights-in with his girlfriend. And never looked back. With a job selling life insurance to the elite, and a girlfriend to go home to, Jackson has everything a man of these times could hope for. Until one dark and stormy Friday night in Melbourne, Australia, he doesn’t.
Thrown back into a vicious city, he's faced again with the torturous task of escaping singledom. But when ghosts from his past get in his ear, Jackson's obsession with finding out the true reason behind his breakup takes him to the darkest corners of dive bars in his search for the truth.
And to make matters worse, his only friends are his mates. Just wait till you meet them…
An original twenty-first century tale from a striking new voice in literature, Malicious Mates is a novel you need to read now.

Well, this is a book not for the faint of heart! However, for me, it was just bloody brilliant! I absolutely loved it. A well written book with a well thought out storyline and executed to perfection. There are certainly "characters" in here, (you may "know" a few yourself ).
Seriously though, a fabulous book. I shall be recommending this to all of my friends. What a fabulous start to the New Year! All I can say to the author is..............Brilliant. You should be proud of this ( and you can't see me but I'm clapping you!).
Thank you to the author, the publisher and netgalley for my arc. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.
