3.5 stars.
Told in two timelines (almost, it was mostly set in the 70's), this story tells the tale of how Elizabeth met Rachel and developed a weird teen-girl crush on her. There are secrets and murder hidden in these pages, but the build up is slow and the story spends so much time on the breakdown of family and relationships. The last little bit of the book is fast paced and excellent, but it was a bit of hard work to get there.
