5.0 out of 5 stars If You Like Daniel Silva, You'll Love Michael James Gallagher!
This is a book that has everything - a compelling plot, well-defined characters, unending action, and a descriptions of places in the world that are so real, you feel as if you're there.
Having read books in this series before, I was particularly impressed with the author's ability to seamlessly blend the present book with references to the past. This book is definitely a standalone book, but so well-done that it begs the reader to enjoy the prior books.
It's rare I start a book and finish it in one day, but I was compelled to keep turning the pages, and so I did. And really, I was almost sorry it was over, because I enjoyed it so much. I'm certainly looking forward to what I hope will be another one in this excellent series.

5.0 out of 5 stars When High Action Meets Literary language
What happens when a weapon’s grade ebola is conceived, plotted, and set into motion against an unsuspecting population? Welcome to author Gallagher’s world, where mercenaries, swat teams, secret operatives, snipers, chemical personnel, and uncanny devices meld into a nonstop, riveting story. Where monkey bites coexist with nuclear deterrents, and a biohazard lab goes hand in hand with family secrets. And where, after a lifetime of being a tough, highly trained Special Ops man, the main hero, Billy, realizes all he needs now is simply the love of a good woman.
Rich, well-written descriptions abound in this novel, lending a true depiction of children living in bombed out cities, dangerous liquids sneaked over borders then implemented, and how the inner workings of the Mossad does not tread lightly. And all with great authenticity and flourish. Highly recommended.

The characters kept me in the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good story-line, tons of action and great pace. The Mossad Strain is a reaaly great addition to the series.
Gallagher writes a great mystery that has you guessing until the end. The book is full of twists and turns. It's a classic Mossad caper against the ultimate enemy.
This is my first exposure to this author and indeed it didn’t disappoint. A wonderfully crafted story that is right on point with current affairs in the world. Fast paced with well developed characters, it is a rollercoaster ride which I could not put down. I very much enjoyed the main character, Billy, and his struggles as the story plays out. The scenarios and story line crafted by the author are very real and especially frightening! Non-stop action with multiple twists and turns leave you wondering at times who the good guys really were. It was so captivating and exciting that I simply couldn't put it down! I definitely look forward to reading other books by this author.
Thank you to NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book is a great read, from the colorful characters to the compelling story that transports you to the front lines of a plot to release a worldwide epidemic. The actions fells authentic and the tension is palpable whether in remote jungle locales or out to sea. Shady characters and double-crosses abound, especially when black ops Mossad agents and 3rd world local dictators and mercenaries are involved. Had no idea what the outcome would be till the end. Recommended.
I would have like to say this book was a reflection of our present time situation but this is far worse and truly gruesome. Espionage and counterterrorism covert Ops at its best and most deadly. My goodness, to think a person can think of such evil is truly beyond words, they are devious and absolutely frightful. A well written Grotesquely scary, interesting, and entertaining read.
This book doesn't leave you waiting to get to the excitement. From the very first few pages, you know that big things are happening. I liked the author's cut and dry writing style, never giving too much away at once so the reader stays in suspense.
The characters in this book are realistic, with personal problems and thoughts like the rest of us, so that made me feel closer to them. I personally find it annoying when characters come across as too perfect or invincible. I like to be able to put myself in their shoes, and it was easy to do so in this book.
The pace of this novel keeps you reading (even when your eyes say it's time to quit) and turning pages wanting to know what happens next. I thought the level of violence was appropriate for a book like this and it didn't feel like the author was reaching for material. The natural flow works, and I liked that there were multiple characters one can respect by the end.
As for the ending, although the author sets up clues for the reader, by the last few pages I still wasn't sure of what was going to happen, and I liked the way it closed. This was an entertaining book with a lot to recommend it for anyone who enjoys books with a lot of action and intelligent writing.
