I received an ARC of "To Catch an Earl" from Netgalley. This is the second book in Kate Bateman's new series of the Bow Street Bachelors. Alex Harland, Earl of Melton, works for the Bow Street Runners and is co-owner of the Tricorn Club. Emmy Danvers is a smart, sweet young lady, and the lady of his dreams, but she is also a thief, who Alex is looking for and who is known as the Nightjar. He learns of her deception and is caught between duty and love. His frustration is viable. Their attraction is inevitable. Kate Bateman brought me to tears towards the end....a sign that she truly had me completely engaged with the characters. Spectacular!

Just loved it! Emmy is a strong, smart woman, stuck stealing to protect her family. Alex is a war hero, gambling hell owner and Bow Street Runner. Their adventure is fast, fun and furious!

Kate Bateman knows how to grab your attention from the start and keep it through the whole book. Intrigue, mystery, romance, humor, and family honor combine to make a fast moving story with delightful characters.

I loved the chemistry between Alex and Emmy! She’s a bold jewel thief who is always one step ahead of Alex. They both struggle with choosing between honor and love. I received an ARC from NetGalley for my honest review.
